It's cliched and all that, but holy shit, I don't know where the time goes. Like, I was just pregnant, right? And now I have this wild two year old boy. I love him so fiercely, even when he's being an asshole. The months fly by so fast, I try to hold on, but he'll be a big, stinky man-boy before I know it.
He's so fun right now - he's a total parrot, so we've caught him picking up some choice phrases - it's really hard not to laugh when you hear a toddler say, "DAMMIT!" He's obsessed with hinges, which is the weirdest thing. He has to point them out on every door. He's learning that other things have hinges, too, like his elbow, which is now an endless source of fascination. He's a runner, so he keeps us on our toes. He's the child those leash backpacks were invented for, but I haven't caved yet. For now, I can just barely outrun him.
I'm extra weepy today - I'm so glad he's willing to give me some snuggles, as I've been sniffing his hair and stroking his cheeks and arms, soaking up those last little bits of baby.
Happy birthday! Lol forever at hinges! Bas went through a phase of pointing out doors everywhere he went - toddlers have a weird grasp of how conversations work.
Happy birthday and welcome to club 2!
Haha! My 2 year old is currently fascinated with smoke detectors. We must stop to admire them all. Fire safety is really important to him.
Happy birthday! Toddlers are so much fun, sometimes even when they are aholes. It seems like we were just talking about our colicky newborns, where has the time gone?!?!
BTW, I really like that 2 shirt - LMK where I can buy it?

I found it at Old Navy!
Doesn't look like they have it anymore, but they do have this one
