Fasting before 1 hr glucose test?

No, you should not have to fast but eat a higher protein breakfast and don't eat a bunch of carbs and sugar. No sense in starting off with high blood sugar!

I did not. They just told me to avoid a donut for breakfast, if like, at all possible.

Don't eat a brownie for breakfast. Because then you will be back for the 3 hour. I probably should've fasted. Next time.

I fasted, but only because my test was so early in the morning I figured I'd just eat afterwards. I also failed, so there's that.

As long as you don't like drink a giant glass of orange juice 15 minutes before it won't make a difference.

Mine is scheduled for like 3pm, so I'm definitely not fasting! Going to try to limit the carbs that day though.

My dr said not to fast and to have protein rich breakfast. My test was at 9:30 and I think I had a cheese & spinach omelet and a handful of cashews. Good luck!

Mine never said to fast. I had a Chipotle burrito bowl before. Although I failed that and the 3 hour so who knows if it would have "helped", haha.

I didn't fast, but my breakfast was light on carbs, heavy on protein.
