I recently discovered that I live within 30 minutes of a HA outlet and now that DS is a little bigger to fit into the boys stuff, thought I'd check it out this weekend. What are the good things to snap up there? How deep are the discounts? Anything to avoid??
Have you shopped at HA before? I feel like it is sacrilege to say it on this board, but I don't find the store that exciting.
We do like their kimono sleepers, I haven't found anyone else who makes that item. Also the zippered sleepers without feet are useful now that she is mobile so she doesn't slip on the kitchen and hardwood floors.
PJs are always on sale. They will have varying discounts from 20-40% usually.
Mine is setup like this: New arrivals in front- usually 10-20% discounts Sale items and outlet specific items ins the middle. Racks will have varying discounts. Baby, PJs, clearance, shoes in the back. Discounts can go up to 60% off.
If they're having a clearance sale that is the best time to go. I've gotten major deals that way.
The one by me was underwhelming. The pajamas were on sale but they had no 90s or 100s in the two piece style. They also didn't have much in the way of boys t-shirts. The prices were good for what they had I didn't buy anything.
We don't have an outlet near us, and I only have girls, but we love HA pajamas, leggings, and other basics. Some of their patterns are a little out there, but the quality is great. I really like the little boy t-shirts. The viking one kills me.

I went to the regular HA in the mall this weekend and saw some cute boys stuff but wasn't prepared to drop 50 on a sweater... So I am hoping the outlet is the solution to my cheapness I have not actually bought anything yet, ds is just on the cusp of fitting into their small boys stuff and I never liked the baby boy stuff much...

If you're looking for great bargains, it's very hit or miss. You might find a rack of past-season shirts and pajamas for $10, or hardly anything marked down. Sometimes the prices in the outlet store on current season items are higher than online; I had this happen with a dress last year -- I saw it was on sale online but I wanted to see it in person first so I went to the outlet and it was more expensive there. The associate couldn't price match it for me, but she ordered it for me shipped to my house at the online price.
TBH, I rarely buy anything but pajamas from HA for my DS. I don't want to pay $20 for a shirt my DS will permanently stain in two wearings. I'm more willing to buy girls' dresses and leggings there because they're noticeably different in style and quality from items available elsewhere.
We've been a few times. A few good deals and also some disappointments. They sell the new line which will NOT be a good deal. And they have older stuff which will be hit or miss on price and selection.
