I hope it turns out to be nothing. I know in Pediatrics 50% of kids who have a seizure never have another one again. I don't know the rates for adults since its outside my scope, but hopefully this is just a one time thing. Definitely check and see if any of your meds have a risk for seizure. Your doctor may need to make a report to the adverse effects hotline to help track potential side effects.

My IVF cycle ended in a bfn last week, so I've been off of everything for several days, but I'll check!
I've never had one but I dealt with them on a too regular basis. My XH had a seizure disorder and countless seizures. But he had 8 head injuries/TBIs in a three year period, including getting clocked by an aircraft that was launching from a carrier. I highly doubt that yours have similar causation unless you forgot you were in an accident or fell down a flight of stairs recently. (Sometimes you just need to groan over a bad joke to get over the scare).
In the years I've dealt with his seizures and followed up on the disorder, there have been many, many times I've seen or read about that seizures are a one-off experience caused by an imbalance somewhere in your system that can be treated, or even a one-time event - such as dehydration, reaction to something (allergy, meds, drugs, alcohol, whatever), high fever...just your system being out of whack momentarily. It's very likely that this won't happen again, but I can understand the underlying fear. Seizures are a scary as shit thing, especially when you're the one dealing with it.
I hope it never happens again and that in time it will be something you don't have to deal with or worry about about again.(((decemberwedding07))) and (((googly)))
Sending good thoughts that it was a 1 time thing. My neighbor's son had a seizure. They think it was caused by a potassium imbalance. It happened a few hours after a sitter let him drink a 1/2 gallon of OJ.

The weirdest thing was how afterwards I just had no strength. I felt like I couldn't do anything. The paramedics took me out on a stretcher and took me to the hospital. I was lucid enough at the time to think, "I wonder how much this is going to cost..."
My dad had sudden onset of seizures about three years ago - he had like three in a hour or so. They found a benign tumor on his pituitary gland, which could have been pressing on his brain in such a way that it caused them (the tumor has since been removed) or it could have been caused by some medication he was on for his bipolar. He's still on anti-seizure meds because his doctor is being quite cautious, but are probably going to take him off of them soon and see how he does. He hasn't had any more seizures, or even any seizure activity picked up on EEGs since.
As for the thyroid nodules - I have them. They were discovered back in 2001 or so during a routine physical. They're just there, really. No symptoms, no cancer, no change in them since then.

This is pretty normal - to be very tired afterwards and to want to sleep for the rest of the day. I had two seizures in my teens - had abnormal eeg activity (never determined why) so was put on meds for most of my 20's. Never had another seizure and was overall no big deal after that. I went off the meds maybe 10 years ago and have had no problems. Directly after the seizures, I am told I was very belligerent and was swearing at the medical staff. Nice...I have no recollection of this. I slept for the rest of the day after. I totally understand the feeling of not being in control of your body and not knowing what happened afterward. It can be a scary feeling.
More recently, I have developed nodes on my thyroid. At this point we are assuming they are benign and I'm on thyroid meds - again, for me at least, it has not been a super big deal.
Anyway, I'm sorry you are going through this. Hoping it turns out to be no big deal.

Scary and I hope it doesn't happen again. Stress bought on a thing called Global Amnesia for my parent, so I could see that stress and lack of sleep could really mess with your neurological system.
