humpforfree - I'd be totally pissed!! Do you think you can talk to her and have her reconsider? I mean, come on, you've been pregnant for awhile so it's not like it is a surprise that you'll be that pregnant on the trip.
Exactly!! I would have much rather she told me this months ago when I could have still planned a different vacation, or H could have come to down with L and I when we were there earlier! She gave me the whole "obviously you are an adult and can make your own decisions, but I just needed to speak my piece..." thing. So I could still go, but I would just feel so unwelcome the whole time. I kind of do want to go and just do our own thing but don't want the sassing that would come if I did happen to go into labor there.
If you're not from the Midwest I guess I'll give you a pass.
Cheese curds at the state fair are deep fried. So you take pieces of cheese (not just any kind of cheese though) and they are dipped in a thin batter and then deep fried. Still warm and dipped in ranch they are amazing. So amazing I ate them 12 hours ago and I'm still thinking of them!

Cheese curds were a total mystery to me until a couple of years ago. My office treated a patient the day after the Boston marathon bombings who was visiting from the Midwest and lost some hearing from being close to the blast. She was so happy she was able to see a doctor so quickly and sent us a really nice letter along with some cheese curds. We were all totally mystified by the squeaky cheese!

Now imagine them deep fried! They're all over around here it's so odd to think others from around the country have no idea what they are. I mean I get it and understand why but it's just weird once you think of it. I'm sorry for those of you who will never experience the taste of a fresh cheese curd or even better, the taste of a deep fried cheese curd.
Not that it justifies being an asshole. But I'm flashing back to my childhood where on a few vacations my normally very mild tempered mother would go completely insane when somehow she did not get her morning caffeine. :::shudders::::
But if he's just bitching and THERE'S STILL TIME even less sympathy.
It's 10pm here, and he was going to prep the coffee maker for tomorrow morning. It's his turn to sleep in, so he's mad he won't wake up to coffee like he does every day. I'm sure one of us will end up getting Starbucks drive-thru tomorrow morning (30 min round trip) which I don't see a problem with. But apparently it's a BFD to him?! I don't understand coffee.
We just got home from C's soccer game. I have to worst backache. I saw the chiro yesterday for it and it was better last night but was back to miserable this morning. Even a jacuzzi bath with a lush bomb didn't make me feel better.
I got the iPhone 6+ today. It's unnecessarily large, but I love it. I was going to get just the 6, but they didn't have any. I am slightly disappointed because I wanted the 64GB. They only had the 16 and 128 in the plus, and no way am I paying for the 128.
J was screaming his head off in the car until I figured out he wanted water. I really wish he would start talking.
You know they make some frappuccinos without coffee, right? Like, it's basically probably chocolate milk with Oreos and ice. And blue sprinkles. So lots of sugar but I've totally let my kid have some non-coffee frappuccino.....
Yes, I know they are non-caffinated. It's more the idea of serving super sugary drinks to toddlers and preschoolers.
I'm with you, but I'm uptight about food compared to this board.

This was my exact facial expression.
Cheese curds = little drops of heaven.
Totally agree. Heaven. I'm so jealous of the state fair. I miss it. I keep telling DH we have to plan a trip back in August so we can go....just to eat.
glitzy07 and spk926 - thanks for the explanation! We went to our state fair and I got a funnel cake. I wonder if they have cheese curds in Ohio. I have a lot of family there and a good friend is in Columbus so it's not out of the question that we might hit a fair there one day.

pugz md between Baltimore & DC. I would love to camp but cannot deal with the air mattress and walking to the public bathroom all night long this pregnant. The cabins still use the public bathrooms and are $50+/night Thanks you guys for making me feel better about this. I was slightly worried I was either overreacting or going to be flamed for considering traveling so far from home this late. Maybe we will just forget about it and go anyway.
