I woke up last night with kind of an acid taste in my mouth, my throat was burning and it was like I couldn't breathe for a second. Reflux? I'll meantion it when I see the OB on Wednesday, it was just weird. And kind of scary to wake up so abruptly and not be able to breathe.
I had terrible heartburn and reflux. I had to get a Rx for it because I couldn't sleep. Even with that I had to sleep inclined. Good news I guess is that it was gone after delivery.
That totally sounds like it. I have LPRD, which is a version of acid reflux, all the time...and waking up choking is something that occurred on the regular until I was medicated. Isn't that a scary feeling when you wake up like that!?
Again, I have it full-time, this may not be your issue!I was diagnosed with LPRD about 2 years before I got pregnant. What helps, beyond medication, is avoiding eating within a few hours of laying down, and limiting acidic foods/drinks. I also avoid dairy, but that's just as it's a trigger for my reflux. I took Prilosec and Zantac throughout pregnancy (and today...).

Yeah. It was so bad that I would start choking in the middle of the night. And then it would make me vomit. And the force of the vomiting made me pee. I had an awesome pregnancy. Lol.

Yep. It was awful and tums didn't really help at all. The only way I could sleep was to not eat anything after about 6/7pm and to take Zantac with dinner. And sleep with 2-3 pillows to make me fairly inclined.
I'm 4 days pp now and it's already gone. I feel sooooo much better being able to eat normal sized meals and sleep with just one pillow.

Yes. It's almost always only when I am sleeping, and typically only on my right side. I wake up to it bubbling up my throat/chest. I've never been sick from it and usually some tums make it better. There have only been once or twice that I had to sleep sitting up. Last time as soon as I delivered it was gone.
Yes, so terrible. I have it all the time, but it was so bad during pregnancy. I'd wake up feeling like I was going to vomit, and not because of nausea, and sometimes I would. Couldn't eat or drink anything, including water, after 5 PM if I wanted a chance at sleeping. Ask for a prescription, sleep inclined on your left side, and keep meals small!
Yes, it was so terrible. OB told me to start taking Pepcid AC (I think that's it? I took the generic version ) and it was definitely much much better, but not gone 100% sometimes.
Not so much with my first pregnancy, but it's been awful this time around starting around 25 weeks. I take a Zantac every morning (per my doctors advice after trying Tums, which did nothing) and it does seem to help, although laying down and bending over seems to make it flare up.

I think I took generic Tagamet from Costco. Antacids alone didn't cut it. I am short with a short torso, so I felt like I had no room in my stomach for food. It really helped with the heart burn.
Yes. It was horrible with both of them. With DS2 I would wake sometimes at night and barf in my mouth. Lying down made it much worse so bedtime was hard. I couldn't eat whole meals, I had to just nibble constantly. I have a short torso and carried high with both so their feet were all up in my ribs. Sipping water every few seconds helped a little. And plain vanilla ice cream seemed to help a bit. I would have a spoonful before and after eating something else.

Yes for my first. It was bad. I had lots of trouble sleeping took meds twice a day and never ate after 5 pm. I live in fear of the day it starts with this pregnancy
I had horrible reflux with my first. There were nights I slept in a sitting position on the couch. Eventually they had to put me on a prescription med. Untreated long term, it can cause major esophagus issues.
