Just a quick recap of B's 2nd birthday party, since I got some great input here on menu and other ideas!
We had it in our home, and did a "Pancakes and Pajamas" theme. Breakfast food is B's favorite these days, and he loves "pincaaaaaaaaykes!!!" (always said with that level of enthusiasm).
We did the Amish breakfast casserole recommended by a few people, and it was a hit! My H cooked up fresh pancakes, and we served fresh fruit and other toppings. I made a mimosa punch, and I think I drank half of it myself (Happy Saturday to meeeeee!). I filled a cooler with single-serve juice, milk and Starbucks coffee drinks.
We didn't do any games or activities, just got out some of his favorite toys, and then set up the water table and bubble machine on the back deck - B was wearing adorable cowboy PJs for the party, but they were soaked and filthy within a few minutes of playing outside. He tried to climb IN the water table...
These aren't new if we're FB friends, but here are a few favorite shots from his birthday celebration...
I tried to do a number-shaped pancake. B was clearly impressed.
Birthday banner recycled from last years "Little Blue Truck" party - I'll probably keep using this thing until it dies
His cake seriously turned out so awesome.
Opening presents was fun this year - he kind of got it!
