Nope. Still in ER. Waiting 4 hours so far to meet with neuro and nobody will give me any drugs until neuro shows up.
29 hour headache 15 hours in ER.
Ask to see a patient care advocate. That's bullshit.
For real. Look around for a sign with the number to come a grievance. There is usually some sort of in-hospital emergency number. We had to call it when I was hospitalized with gallstones/pancreatitis. Nurses shower up before my husband finished the call.
If they are this busy, also ask about transferring to another er. Although with a need for specialized care, you may still have to wait on that end.
Which coast are you on? I'm afraid that if they haven't brought neuro in yet, they won't until morning They need to make a pain plan for tonight that isn't just "twiddle thumbs and wait."
I hope you have gotten some answers! I was thinking about you all night. I also suffer from headaches and migraines (some last 3 days), so I feel your pain.

Have they considered a blood clot? Similar thing happened to my sister and they kept giving her pain meds and sending her home. Then she had a stroke. I believe her MRI was clear the first time too.

This. I had a clot in my brain that caused the absolute worst Thunderclap headache. It was really close to a bleed but (fortunately) didn't actually turn into a stroke. I was in the hospital on blood thinners and morphine for 10 days and they eventually had to do a procedure where they went up through my veins from my leg to inject the clot with clot busting meds to make it bearable again. It turned out to be a result of hormonal birth control triggering two underlying clotting disorders.
It was picked up by the MRI, though, so if yours is clear, maybe that's not it. But I thought I'd share my story just in case.
