I really hope everyone standing up in the church is because Julian Fellows has decided to stop shitting on Edith. LOL
Me too, I kind of lean that way since I don't think he'll actually have Mary remarry because she's had her 'great love' and kind of decided she wasn't willing to settle for less last season with what's his name.
I really hope Mary's happy ending is being settled at Downton and helping running it which is all she has ever really wanted. Edith deserves a nice guy and a happy life (probably in London) with her daughter.

I want Mary running Downton and with Charles Blake. She is too young to be alone forever.

Not forever BUT I see her and Carson as a lot alike (there's a reason a lot of her emotional/big scenes have been with Carson) I think she would eventually remarry but likely not until her son has taken over and she isn't running it anymore (assuming they were actually able to keep it during the 30s).
To me DA has always been Mary's true love and true romance more of a game played for fun. I could easily see her quietly having a lover but not giving up her independence as a widow to run DA for as long as possible.

I didn't watch (I'm at work), but who was that dude that she practically orgasmed while talking to him before he got in his fancy car after going shooting? Is that Charles Blake? Because he was hot. She should be with him.

I'm excited!
Henry Talbot! He's played by Matthew Goode*
*He was in The Imitation Game, also with Allen Leech (Tom Branson of DA.) He's in a silly movie called Leap Year with Amy Adams. Her character is obnoxious but I think he's adorable.

Lol! Oh wow, I almost forgot about Henry Talbot. He was really attractive. But...we have seen Mary get swept away by looks before (Tony). Blake is really a good all-around match for her. I need to see more of Henry to decide.

THANK YOU!! I've been trying to remember where I saw him, and that's it! It's sad, but I actually liked that movie, cheese and all. My MIL owns it and we watch it sometimes. LOL

I would agree but Edith WANTS to be married I think, though that may have changed. But previously she clearly wanted a husband so for me it depends on how they play it. If they play it as she is now thrilled to be running the newspaper and is focused on protecting M's inheritance and making it even bigger and couldn't care less about marrying then cool. But if they keep playing it as she wants a husband (even if it's to gain the independence that came with marriage compared to being an unmarried daughter of the aristocracy) then I want her to have that. So much of her story on the show has been about her trying to find a husband.

How do I watch this before it hits PBS? You would think I would have figured it out by now.
I don't want Edith to get married, at least not until she's a media magnate. She's the most modern of the bunch and I love it.
The easiest way is on www.simplyjune.org. She uploads the episodes as they become available in England (usually by Sunday evening in the US) and you can watch through her website without downloading.
