I learned today that DS's isn't allowed to wear closed-toes sandals (they were SKR). He needs fully closed shoes. Any brand recs? With Amazon prime preferred, we have no shoe stores here except Target. Are there decent shoe options there right now?
@supergreen doesn't he have any sneakers you could send him in? Or did he just have sandals for the summer?
He just has sandals for the summer, they're size 10.5. I have the next size up SKR sneakers in a 12, and they are hilariously big. Like clown shoes. So he needs sneakers in a 10.5 or 11.

Gotcha. If you get the Nike's I linked you'll want to size down .5 from whatever he wears in SKR. (ie- M wears 12 SKR sneakers & 11.5 Nikes)

I'm having a hard time paying $55 for shoes DS is going to take off and fill up with sand KWIM? I don't want cheap Payless shoes that fall apart, but $55 is what I pay for my own shoes.
We got a pair of target sneakers not stride rite sneakers and they have held up surprisingly well for a rough boy who loves to scooter I just avoided the character ones.

Shoes are buy one get one half off at Famous Footwear if that helps. I wasn't excited about the price either but they were the only shoe M liked. He really wanted orange. I really wanted a flexible show that he wanted to wear. With the sale they weren't really much more than SKR.
I've seen some of M's classmates with similar C9 Champion shoes from Target. Payless also had a similar line with a flexible sole. I think they were both in the $20-25 range.
Whatever you get I would strongly advise against laces. m's last pair of sneakers had laces, they were always coming untied (even with double knots) which was annoying.
