It's so fun listening to DD really start to talk. My favorite was yesterday as we were walking by a playground "Kyde!!!! I key it!!! Kyde, mama, I key it!!!" (translation: "Slide - I see it" instead of "I see a slide").
ETA - and now after we change her diaper, to delay bed, 2x she has run back to her changing pad on the floor, laid on it, and said "Poop again. Wee Wee". I check and before I can say anything she yells "Nope" and laughs.
C sings Watch Me Whip, Watch Me Nae Nae. But her version is "Watch me please. Watch me Play Play!" And she does the dance. My goal in life is to get this on film.
From the back of the van yesterday: X: ehhhhhh ehhhhh (like he is straining) Me: What's wrong? X: I stuck, mama! Me: Yes, you are stuck in your seat for safety.
Driving to Target: X: See basketballs, mama? Me: Yes, we can look at the basketballs. X: BUY A NEW ONE?? (happily shouts this) Me: We are not buying a basketball today. X: Soccer ball? Me: no X: baseball? Me: no (and then I stopped answering, LOL)
From the back of the van yesterday: X: ehhhhhh ehhhhh (like he is straining) Me: What's wrong? X: I stuck, mama! Me: Yes, you are stuck in your seat for safety.
C does this too. I always respond with, "You're not stuck, you're strapped in. It's different." Now she yells from the backseat, "Mommy! I different!"
Caramini wrote the following fairy tale at school and then illustrated it:
Once upon a time there was a mermaid and a merman. They kissed and turned into humans. They kissed and turned back into mermaids. They built a castle. They bought seaweed for the lawn. They got a playhouse for a child. They bought a crib. They are having a baby!
Every time DD sees a fly she says, "Damn flies!" Just like H and I do. We need to check ourselves. Both for saying it in front of her and for thinking it's hilarious when she does.
She also has a super expanded vocabulary. "Is it a kayak or a canoe or a floating vessel Mom?" How the hell should I know kid? How the hell should I know?
DS is learning new words everyday but only says them once..haha. His favorite though is "bye" and he says it like, "I'm done with you fools. Off to night night in my crib I go!"
My H also bought Star Wars kids toothpaste with Yoda and Darth Vader on the tube and Caramini said that the toothpaste was scary and spicy.
I cannot imagine that P&G will be using that in their ad campaign.
ETA: tonight at bedtime Caramini told me that Yoda was defending her toothpaste from Darth Vader. Darth Vader may be evil incarnate, but he really wants minty fresh breath.

Everything!!!! Lol. Okay, but, we do animal noises, and hers are uncannily correct. Like, her cat noise isn't "meow," it's, like, a cat noise. There were a bunch of ravens outside and she was imitating the sound, rather than the "caw, caw," I was encouraging. Hilarious.
We've been working on potty training. Yesterday Claire told me "I want to tinkle with grandma but it's not possible right now" (disclaimer: tinkle is my mom's word, not mine). When she is throwing a tantrum, she yells out "it's not an option".
Audrey has been calling her stethoscope her "doctorscope".
The other day I was driving. I only yell and get annoyed and sometimes swear when driving. I said 'dude, that was not cool' to some car. From the backseat 'yeah dude' It was like full house. I have to stop the dudes. And worse.
I took N to the mall today and he spent a good portion of the time saying "ooh ooh aah aah! I a monkey, Mommy! Are you a monkey?"
The other day, he curled up on the floor and whispered "I miss you, Cuppa." For some reason he calls my brother Cuppa and we'd just said goodbye to him the day before.
He often comes up to me and says "wanna snug, Mommy? Wanna kiss?"
He requested "Golden Slumbers" in the car.. "Mama, I listen to Golden Sumbers peez? Daddy sing me that song at night night time. I yuv daddy". Then he sang along. My heart!
Tonight I farted and he ran around the house screaming mama tooted!!! I laughed because I am really a little boy when to comes to farts.
Hilarious.
Except for"moo." She looooves to say "moo."
Hah, I just told H yesterday that DD's bear growl is way more realistic that my "rawr." I have no idea where she picked it up from, but it's a very convincing "grrrrr."

DS counters almost anything I ask with, "but honey, I'm doing this because of that." Or "it's okay, I'm just doing this." Thanks for the reassurance, but you actually do need to listen to me. Lol.

M thinks he is hilarious. His newest joke is to start counting and skip numbers. "1,2,3...7,8,9,10!" and busts out laughing, like it is the most hilarious thing ever.
He has also taken to talking to me in a "monster voice." It's kind of creepy but he thinks it's so funny because I'll make the voice back and we'll have entire conversations in this voice.

My 2.5yo DD2 says "Oh my dang it!"
Her 5yo sister said the other day: "When I was a baby I was cute, but now that I'm getting older I'm getting more fashionable." (too much time with her 11yo cousin lately?! HA!)

She is crazy polite. She says "thank you" and "bless you" unprompted. She also says, "you okay, momma?" if I cough or say "ow".
And we watch too much Sesame Street apparently because the Count sings the number of the day song. He does his weird Count laugh at the end and she copies it. It's hilarious.
She likes honey and vanilla on plain yogurt (like I eat it). The other day, I gave her a flavored yogurt cup from the fridge. "Honey bear, mommy! It need honey bear and nilla!" So, I faked squeezing some honey into it and handed it to her.
She LOST IT. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Mommy. You have to QUEEZE IT. QUEEZE THE BEAR." ::big sigh:: "I do it, mommy. No make it up."
Hilarious.

DS does an exceptional dolphin noise. It's like "eh eh eh" but high pitched and squeaky. Sounds just like Flipper, which he's never seen. I don't think he's ever seen a dolphin. I have no idea his he learned to impersonate one so well.
