Our next 4 date nights revolve around beer/cider. BBQ and beer tasting with friends on Friday, Cider Summit, Pumpkin Beer Fest and Craft beer & food fest.
The problem is that I desperately need to lose weight, I signed up for a transformer diet bet and 4 nights out the first two months focused on food and booze means I have to be extra good.

You can use that time as your special treats and be "on" all the rest of the time. You'll still see progress, I bet. Good luck and enjoy your occasions.
I second what theoriginalbean said, be good most of the time.
Pre-pregnancy, I would eat really well during the week, while at work. I mean I'm hear 40-50 hours a week. Healthy food, healthy snacks, drinking lots of water, and going to the gym like 3-5 times a week. Weekends were a free for all, and I maybe on 2 occasions worked out on a weekend day (then I figured out morning work outs aren't for me and going to the gym at 4pm on a Saturday was never going to fit into the schedule).

Ditto. I try to keep my diet thoroughly in check on work days because none of the "treats" are really ever worth the splurge. I'd rather save the indulging for date nights or post long runs.
Now that we are getting settled and have a kitchen to cook in, it will be much easier to be good during the week. Yesterday I made an amazing fish dish, first time I have cooked something in about 2 weeks.
