I didn't run today because I don't have week 5 on my phone yet. I'm helpless when it comes to technology & my H does it for me.
I did take the boys and a friend to the trail and walked 2 1/2 miles, though. Before this, I would have defaulted to going to a park and sitting while they played. I can feel a difference in my energy level! (I don't usually exercise at all.)

How's everyone doing? We were on vacation last week so I definitely got sidetracked, but this week I'm back at it because I'm running a 5k this weekend! I can't wait!
I started this week. Got 2 workouts in. It takes me slightly longer than 30 minutes to do the circuit around a local week. I am guessing that walking an additional 10 minutes isn't a big deal.
I like the lake as there are 2 circuits the outside one is 5k so I don't need to change the location as my endurance builds.

I made it! I did have to take a few breaks to walk, and I was near the back of the people who were actually trying to run, but I made it! 40:21, so not a record breaking time, but pretty good for me. I signed up for another one on Halloween, so time to keep training! I may go back and start at week 5 again and see if I can improve my pace.

I have a love-hate relationship with this program. When I was at w3d1, a friend decided to do this with me, so I have been running with her, but effectively went back to week 1, but added in a run before I meet up with her. I am generally really tired nonetheless at the end of the runs I am repeating, and I feel I shouldn't be. But then, I did a run by myself w3d3, and I felt it was too easy.. So i am going to try w4d1 tomorrow and see how it goes.
I finished my 5K this morning. My time was 42:00, so sloooooow...but I did it! I even had a personal best mile in there & my pace was my fastest yet. I had to walk a bit, but I knew that. I had done week 4 training, then fell off the bandwagon for 2 weeks. I ran my first full mile sine I was a kid on Friday & ran most of the 5K on Saturday.
Race done this morning. 32:09 according to my stopwatch. I wonder will it match the chip timing. Tired now... It was a 1km+ walk to the start and ~2km walk home from the finish line. And then went for a gentle stroll with do and dd2 an hour or so later...

Wow, you are really fast! That's amazing!
Thanks. Though it didn't feel that way today - the winners did it in half the time I did it!! I was 700+ out of 950 finishers...
