Background: dd (18 months) is iffy on tolerating the stroller. Sometimes she refuses and sometimes she can sit for 30 minutes or so. All I have is the City Mini. I don't really want to buy another $$$ one because we might get a double next year. She hates being in a carrier, but will nap on the go...carseat/stroller. I'm thinking we need to to bring it just for the airport at least. Should I buy one of those $20 umbrella ones?

What cruise line are you going?
We brought our City Mini on our Disney cruise, and there was plenty of room for it along with 5 people and all of our luggage. We mainly used it on excursions, long walks to dinner when we were going to the other end of the boat, embarkation and debarkation, and the airport.

I would just bring your current stroller. But, FWIW, I took a non-reclining Chicco umbrella stroller with it to Europe for a month this summer and DS napped in it almost every day. It's also the stroller I grab when we're going to be taking lots of subways and spending the whole day outside of home here and again, he naps fine in it.

I took our citi mini on our royal Caribbean cruise this summer. DS is 3 years old and it's always helpful in the airport. It folded nicely and went under the bed in the cruise room.
I would most certainly bring it. Our DD's are always a lot more tired on vacations than normal and tend to really want the stroller. We also let them fall asleep in it so we can stay out with them later.
