Would you eat this? (And a vent)

So, last night I prepped crock pot with two raw chicken breasts cream of mushroom soup and some broth to make chicken & dumplings today. Sat in the fridge overnight, covered. DH works from home and so I asked him to put the crock pot on at about noon. Didn't do it. Has been sitting in fridge all day. 

Still good to put this on the crock pot for tomorrow?


And separately I asked DH do ONE SIMPLE THING and he can't manage to do it. Useless.

If it was in the fridge the whole time, yes, I would just make it tomorrow.

And maybe set a reminder on your DH's phone?

You could always cook it on high tonight and put it away before bed or cook on low overnight if you are concerned it has been sitting to long.

If it was the fridge the whole time I think it is fine to cook tomorrow.

Yes. I leave raw chicken in my fridge for several days. Definitely ok to eat after 1 day.

I pretty much always say no to "would you eat this" questions. But even I would eat it in this case (well, I would if I wasn't a vegetarian. I would have no problem with H or DD eating it, though).

Yes.

Afterall, some people prep crockpot meals, oven dinners etc. for the entire WEEK on like Sunday night and they're still alive.

Sometimes if I'm having a busy week I'll prep two crock pot meals together and let one sit for a day or two.

Hah! My DH is a complete homebody. He would probably rather clean up all the poop in our backyard in the middle of a rainstorm than leave the house sometimes. I am not worried about him purposely forgetting anytime soon!

Yes but putting a really cold insert in a crockpot and then turning it on can cause it to crack.
