So my daughter has always taken good naps with bad night time sleep. We just got back from a vacation, where her night sleep was even worse then normal. So now I am working to correct it.
If i want to do the 2 3 4 schedule, she will be up until 10 pm. Which I dont think is good.
So for example this is how today went.
She was up for the day at 9am. ( this was after wake ups at 1030 pm, 1230, 445 am and 721 am) Went down for nap 1 at 11 am woke up at 12:51 Nap 2 3:30 pm woke up at 5:45 pm
What time would you put her down to try to minimize wake up times?
I'd try like 8:30. And then if she's up around 7 am just start the day instead of putting her back down. That way her 1st nap would be around 9, next nap 1:30ish, and then bedtime around 7:30 or so.
She is almost 9 months. I thought the 720 waking would be up for the day, but she fell asleep while I was feeding her. She also almost always takes 2 hour naps or longer... SO maybe the 2 3 4 doesn't work well for her?
Her schedule before vacation was up about 730. Nap at 930, but she would sleep till 1230 or 1 then anyway. And then that would make nap 2 at 330.
Also if i wake her from the first nap early, like if I have to pick up the older daughter from preschool, she will nap slightly early for the second nap. However she then extends the second nap longer.
Ever since she dropped to two naps the earliest she wakes up on her own has been 5pm.
I would definitely get her up in the 7oclock hour instead of putting her back to bed. My daughter does great with a modified version of the 2-3-4 at home like this: 6:00 wake up 9:00-10:45 nap 2:00 - 3:30 nap 7:30 bed
Your daughter might be getting a bit too much daytime sleep as well. How old is she?

What happens if you wake her up after 2 hours at both naps during the day? Maybe she will sleep better at night?
If I wake her, it is usually due to needing to leave the house. So if she is tired she will fall back alseep in the car. The rare times I have tried waking her, her night sleep had been no different.
Also she occasionally has good nights of only 1 wake up and sometimes 2. Last night was the first night home in 8 days.
She is very busy and very high energy when she is awake. Her crappy night sleep does not seem to make her unhappy. She is always smiling and laughing at everything.
I just need more sleep. She might be fine, i just want to sleep normal again.
Is she eating at all those wake ups? Is she crying hard? How long before you go in? My guy is almost 11 months but cries out in his sleep a lot. Sometimes he is up for 5-10 min trying to settle himself back down.

I tried to not feed her at the 1030 wake up. But I am not sure she slept between that and 1230 when I did feed her. She cried off and on between those 2 hours and we would go in after 10 mins to settle her.
I did feed at the other two wake ups. I thought the last when was up for the day.
Other nights, I can always settle her without feeding, but she starts back up again when I put her down if I don't feed her. If I feed her she will go o sleep.
So I guess another question I have... Is how can I be sure she doesn't need to eat? She doesn't eat a lot of solids yet.
She is tiny. She weighs about 16 lbs. and still fits into 3-6, 6 month clothing.
