I dropped our Uppababy Vista on my foot today taking it out of the car (while holding my daughter at the same time)...
I think I may have broken/fractured a bone on the top of my foot but as far as I know there isn't much they can do for this kind of injury, right? No point in going to the doc? I can totally walk on it but I can't 'point' my toe.
Yes, I dropped an iron on my foot, point down, when I was moving out of my apartment in college. There's still a bump & it'll occasionally hurt...12 years later.
If it's broken, I'd imagine they'd check to be sure it'll heal correctly & put you in a boot. I didn't go to the doctor.
Omg. I hadn't considered wearing shoes...I have been in flip flops for fucking months. Okay, I will give it a couple of days and go in on Friday. Crap.

I'm able to wear shoes without an issue. If I thought hard about it, I might be able to draw a connection between a sore foot and a certain pair of shoes...but it's not bad enough to make me pay attention. I'd say 95% of the time, I don't even think about it.
I would get it checked, only because if it is broken and mis-aligned, that needs to be corrected. You may not even need a walking boot, my broken foot was healed with time and wearing stiff soled shoes for a few weeks.
One of my kids dropped a 16 or 20 oz full bottle squarely on my fourth toe about a month ago. I was pretty sure it was broken and it turned gray for several days. I did not get it checked out, figuring there wasn't much that could be done even if it was broken. It's pretty much back to normal at this point.
