Is this weird or am I over thinking?

not weird at all. we get cards with pictures taken throughout the year all the time. think of it this way-you'll get the opportunity to shop all the good sales with no stress while the rest of us are scrambling to find a picture to use.

Not weird, take it now! I'm sure most people would never guess.

I showed my ILs a funny picture of the baby a couple of weeks ago. They said, "Oh, was that from the festival [the weekend prior]?" Uh, no. He's like 2 months old in that picture and is almost a year now.

As long as it's not an outside picture. I don't like seeing green grass in Christmas photos. Unless you like in CA or something.

This will be the 3rd year we will be using October photo session photos.

If it bothers you maybe do a collage card of some other shots throughout the year too. If she grows a ton people will think it's just from late last winter.

And aren't most people scheduling photo shoots about now or in the near future for Christmas card use? You're not that far off.

And my Christmas cards are full of grass shots and late autumn scenes. I never thought it weird.

Just because I live where it snows means I have to have a white canvas of snow in the background or take them indoors? No.

Go for it. Our photographer usually does her Christmas-themed mini sessions in October (usually at a Christmas tree farm so it looks festive) so there's time for editing, ordering cards, and mailing.

Or the south - our pictures always have green grass. That's kind of a weird thing to say.

Even Alaska had no snow last year so our outdoor photos have grass. Very weird thing to say.
