not weird at all. we get cards with pictures taken throughout the year all the time. think of it this way-you'll get the opportunity to shop all the good sales with no stress while the rest of us are scrambling to find a picture to use.

I showed my ILs a funny picture of the baby a couple of weeks ago. They said, "Oh, was that from the festival [the weekend prior]?" Uh, no. He's like 2 months old in that picture and is almost a year now.
Nope. Do it. If it bothers you maybe do a collage card of some other shots throughout the year too. If she grows a ton people will think it's just from late last winter.
And aren't most people scheduling photo shoots about now or in the near future for Christmas card use? You're not that far off.
And my Christmas cards are full of grass shots and late autumn scenes. I never thought it weird.

Go for it. Our photographer usually does her Christmas-themed mini sessions in October (usually at a Christmas tree farm so it looks festive) so there's time for editing, ordering cards, and mailing.
