Has anyone ever had to wear an SI belt? Specifically during pregnancy?
I have my fourth chiropractor appointment today for the lower right side back pain that I've been experiencing this pregnancy. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be going away and she said that today she may give me an SI belt to try. Google isn't really telling me much about how this works or why it might help.
I wore one during my last pregnancy. It helped soooo much!
Basically it helps keep your hips aligned while everything is stretching and loosening up. The hardest part about wearing it was adjusting it after every single pee break...
omg yes. I used a maternity support belt that I had instead. It helped stabilize so much and I went from having constant, lightning pain to no pain.
I had to look up what an SI belt was, looks like not quite the same as a maternity support belt. I used a maternity support belt during workouts after like 33 weeks and it helped so much with pain in the pelvic region, presumably because it was keeping my massive belly from bouncing around as much and putting excessive strain on my core. It's worth a shot anyway.

Yes, they're different. An SI Belt sits around the hips.
I wish I had gotten a maternity support belt this time around though - I do a lot of walking in the sand, and it's getting tougher with each passing day.
