Lurker with a spending question

I've been a lurker forever, and I rarely post, but I think I need to stop coming here for awhile.

So far today I've bought a Kate Spade purse and new sheets from Costco, simply from reading two posts!

Do you ever find yourself overly influenced by the posts on here or is it just me? (need I ask after EC plannerfest - which I resisted by the way)

Not usually on the MM board. This board makes me want to cut that out (except for all the EC stuff, which I also resisted). The S&B board, on the other hand, makes me want everything. I don’t have the funds to do it, so I don’t. If I could, I’d be in trouble.

If its something I have been wanting to buy and someone posts a good deal, I might be influenced to buy it before I was ready to, but otherwise no. I didn't buy an EC planner and honestly I don't get it....

In all fairness, I have been looking for sheets for a long time, so that was a need, but the purse was a want. I may put it away and have my husband give it to me for our anniversary this fall. Considering I got Rachel Ray food carrying cases for my birthday (practical, but hardly personal), I think it might be wise to buy my own gift this time.

I've bought quite a few things based on posts, but I don't regret most of them. The latest were those pink salt talbots heels and I love them!

I've never in my life been tempted by a designer purse before today, but the Kate Spade ones are cute and wouldn't make me feel like I paid for the privilege of being a walking billboard (I'm looking at you, coach).

I probably won't pull the trigger, but it's weird being actually tempted.
