I had a tooth prepped for a crown (or an oral coronation, if you will). The Novocain is wearing off, and it is the most uncomfortable somewhat painful feeling.
Also hamster--is there any way you could raffle off a chance to dump an bucket of ice water over someone's head? Perhaps a high school principal at halftime of the football game?
I have been so high strung. I'm sure that it doesn't help that I'm on the 11 day wait for my exam score (8ish days left!). I don't know what to do with myself when I'm not studying. I can't stress about studying for the exam, so I think I'm just stressing about everything else in my life. I need some Xanax or something. This whole situation is really making me concerned about what I'm going to be like when I'm completely done with the exams.
I gave myself a black eye last Friday. Note to parents: multi-tasking solo with an infant is a bad idea.
Anyhoo, it's extremely, extremely noticeable. My entire undereye is black and blue. On Monday I attempted to hide it with a little make-up. Yesterday/today, I'm no make-up (other than my usual) and it's in full force.
Other than a-hole partner making a reference to domestic violence on a call (in context, actually, got to hand it to him), not a single person has even asked me about it. Directly or indirectly. I work in an office with less than 20 people, so it's not like I'm lost in the shuffle. Not one soul. I'm also not wearing my wedding rings b/c I left them at home on DD's changing table (ironically, the same place where the black-eye causing multi-tasking occurred).
I find this extremely strange. Would you not at least ask someone WTF happened? If I came in with a cast on my arm, people would ask. Or are they just assuming DH punched me?
genet313 I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole. Partially because if it was a case of domestic abuse, I wouldn't want to put that person on the spot and partially because I don't like being a shoulder to cry on. I'm just antisocial like that.
PS I'm sorry to hear about your eye. I hope you have a speedy healing process!
Our house goes on the market tomorrow. Our realtor had the photographer out today to take pictures. He also put a sign in the yard. And someone drove by, loved it and want to see it today. So we have our first showing right now before our house is even technically on the market. Woohoo!!
