Update: I was let out Thursday afternoon once they set up the reglan pump and home care. I'm now on reglan continuously, zofran every 4 hours, and b6/unisom at night. The doctor also put in orders, which should be done by next week, so the nurse can put in a line and do fluids from home. That's about it, I've eaten a few things in the past two days so that's a plus.
Thanks for asking about me.
They can't decide what to do with me and so much has changed since I was pregnant with Jax. Zofran is no longer safe, picc lines are no longer safe. They are trying to talk me into a feeding tube but since that goes right to my stomach I can't see how I won't puke the whole damned thing out. dh finally got here a little while ago and we are waiting fire my doctor to come back in to talk to us. I'm a bit overwhelmed.
They keep offering solutions that would have my knocked out all day which would be great but yeah I have a 5 year at home so that's not going to work. Blah
I'm in the peds unit, it's super cute in here. I'm in the barn
Oh nooooooo. I'm so sorry. How far along are you? What's the concern re: zofran now? That's the only way I was able to keep anything down with Lu & Ella.
I keep getting Zofran lawsuit ads popping up on my facebook feed. I guess there are some babies born with health problems and they are saying Zofran is responsible. I have no idea if that's true though.

Aw, poor Kate Good for you for staying chipper enough to appreciate your surroundings. I know it won't help much but promise, promise, promise: This too shall pass!!!

There was a study in Europe somewhere that shows a correlation between zofran and cleft palate/lip. A study came out on hyperemesis two frigging days ago saying they no longer approve if picc lines bc of the risk of infection, plaque in your heart and sepsis. I did have an infection when I was pregnant with Jax.
I'm just about 7 weeks. I got to see the hb when I was in the ER on Monday.❤️

I've seen a couple of trashy 'contact XYZ Attorney' commercials re: this. I've used Zofran in the past, which is why my ears were perked. I've never been pregnant, but it had worked so well for me in the past, I was counting on the drug for future MS. My doc said the studies haven't been finalized, but they're steering away as a precaution until then. (Just in case that adds anything..?)

Interesting...I know some friends who thought Zofran was a lifesaver. I never got sick enough for Zofran but I did have luck with the B6/Unisom cocktail.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm sorry you are suffering. I hope you get a top-notch medical team and they find a solution for you right away. Enjoy the barn!
I'm 29 weeks and had severe nausea through about six months. I took Zofran for about eight weeks, but it never really touched it. I've also been given Diciligis (sp?) and it wasn't enough either. I did find that a combo of the Diciligis with rx strength Zantac helped. I'm only on the Rx Zantac three times a day now and it keeps the nausea at bay most of the time.
