My coworker who has the same job position as me, and same # years of experience just got a job offer at a different hospital for 20k more than what we make now. (We were hired at the same time, and make the same rate).
Now I want a new job. But I don't want to leave all my coworkers!
My H left for 10 days and his car keys (either set) are nowhere to be found.
Combined with the fact that he couldn't find his debit card (for at least a week) and I found it within 2 minutes of looking on a shelf by the door where he usually keeps his keys/phone/cards, I have no idea how he functions as an adult.
Gah, this is so my DH. I'm truly amazed that he's able to do his job sometimes. What burns me further is the fact that his father is this way and his mother has just dealt with it. So whenever the helpless act starts to creep up, I shut it right down. Feel sorry for my husband.
Mom Brag: My severely dyslexic child has been nominated to join an extra curricular called Junior Great Books through our Arch Diocese that is only offered to kids with a reading level 2+yrs above grade, B+ average or better & high test scores in reading. It's for 5th-8th grades (she's in 5th). This year they read books I read in Jr High/HS and then discuss it with other kids from nearby schools. I hope she wants to do it. I'm pretty amazed a kid who never met those benchmark early reading tests, was always in the "low" reading/spelling group has come this far. I could almost cry.

Interview over. Five of the eight (!) people I met with were like in their 20s :,( man I feel old now.
I celebrated by treating myself to Ben and Jerry's. Unfortunately they still have ppl to interview and I won't hear anything until after the 15th probably.
DD skipped her nap today and I really wanted to take one, too. UGH.
And my house is a disaster. I was planning to really get it into shape tomorrow while she's at school but I'm taking my grandmother shopping for an iPad and then to my sister's house (30 minutes away) to see her nursery. I had scheduled it for next week but my grandmother kept saying "so, this Friday?" "NO, Grandma, next Friday." every time we discussed it so I'm just going to take her tomorrow.
We finally got a cover for our pool today! I'm excited we got it before the leaves started falling, because we have two trees over our pool. And it's super easy to put on and take off, so we can still use the pool.
I'm at DD's gymnastics class and DS (13 months old) is having dinner at a friend's house. I am SO PSYCHED that my friend offered to watch him and that he's chill enough for this to work out.
Just six months ago, bringing DD to gymnastics required leaving DS with DH on a Saturday AND lugging my pump with me.
