I don't usually dress the girls in matching outfits but I'm having a hard time finding things in jewel tones. I'd prefer they be in something more colorful than grey which is what I had originally started planning. And I don't want more than one pattern because I feel like it's distracting.
But are you going to roll your eyes at me because the girls are dressed alike?
I might roll my eyes if they were dressed alike all the time, but every once in a while I think it's cute. My sister and I aren't twins but occasionally wore matching dresses on holidays.

I like the dress, but I think you can find another coordinating dress if you don't want them to wear the same thing. I'll come up with some ideas for you.

I LOVE those dresses. Your pictures are going to be adorable! When are you doing the pics? We are kind of using similar colors but our pics are in 2.5 weeks. I'm worried it will still look like summer outside.

Looks like they will be Oct 18th or 24th. This is my favorite color scheme because I think everyone looks good in jewel tones so I'd be using something similar even in summer.
I would probably have similar concerns to what you're having as I would probably want to go out of my way to dress them differently. I love the dress, and I think it would be really difficult to find a dress in a pattern that was complimentary to the HA one. So, after a lot of stress I probably would just go with the same dress, or switch all together and try to do solid dresses in different colors. I like that you're doing the different tights.

I'm not having any luck finding anything in different colors and that's the problem. Nothing in purple, emerald green etc. I found a tea dress I liked in a yellow but it's patterned too. Just solid grey which is fine but I decided I want them in something more colorful. Or navy, but then I feel like everyone is in navy.
You found the one solid purple dress!! And now I may steal it lol.
Eta: or maybe not. Because then I have one in long sleeves and one in short. And I'm afraid it might be too cold.
Yeah, I was worried about the short sleeves too, I was thinking of maybe a cardigan over it but don't want to do navy as that's what DS is going to be wearing!!

Yellow or golden colored cardigan? I did that for the girls first birthday dress that was a purple/navy Tea dress. I really liked the color combination.
No, I don't roll my eyes at matchy twins for occasions and pictures and stuff. I do roll my eyes a bit at people who do it everyday for all parts of an outfit. But I dress my kids matchy probably 10% of the time, coordinating 80% of the time, and totally different 10%. I'm often sad when I find cute stuff that I feel like I can't buy because there's nothing coordinating and it wouldn't feel right to give the cute thing to one and have the other wear something random. Doubly so for pictures.
Especially considering that nobody else has a pattern and you're doing different color tights I think you're good with their dresses. Do you do hair bows? Could do to match the tights if so.
Also I'm going to hire all of you to dress my kids once I get a photographer hired for the pics I want to do this fall too. But first I need a photographer that doesn't cost $1300. God damn HCOL.

@awinter here are some more ideas. (Shopping for girls is much harder than shopping for boys!) I'm interested to know what you think. I changed YH's sweater in all of the sets, there are so many more color options for men vs. kids.
Ashley&Scott, thank you! I like the second and 3rd options! I'm going to look at those some more. I think k I'll end up ordering a few things and then seeing how it all looks in person.
