Is tanning in a bed any safer than going out in the sun? If you're pale at the end of summer because you usually layer on the 100+ sunblock, I would not go in a tanning bed.
Ditto others. Don't go to a bed. Get an airbrush spray tan. A good place will do contouring. I got one before and my boobs looked great!
This is a good option too! I got abs and cleavage that were really spectacular. But it does tend to come off in the pool with all the chemicals, so keep that in mind. I found that out the hard way. :/

No. Not safer and possibly more dangerous.
I kick myself daily for having been an idiot about skin safety in my younger years.
Well cool. I haven't been in a bed before for this reason. I also have heard it's not worth getting a spray tan because it won't help/protect at all.
The only thing is that my legs are showing a lot of cellulite so I was hoping a tan would help that.
The lotion I linked does a nice job disguising cellulite. And is so much quicker than schlepping to a tanning bed, laying there, wiping the bed down, getting dressed, and driving back home.
Just be pale! This needs to be an acceptable option. It's never going to be okay if nobody does it.
Lol. I embrace the pale mostly. I just am worried about getting fried. Sounds like it will happen anyway!
I'm pale at the end of summer because I don't particularly like the sun or heat so we stay in a lot in the summer. We swim indoors and nap time is always at the worst sun times so... We go to the park at better times. Lol.
Totally acceptable, just seems like if you shun the sun in general then you should stay far, far away from a tanning bed.

I felt much more confident on our beach vacation after using the Jergen's natural glow foaming mousse. I applied 2 layers on my legs and it looked pretty good. There were some streaks after one application, but it evened out.
I use a lot do sunscreen and wanted some color on my legs.
It's all good if you only tan the parts of your body you'll want lasered off, frozen off, excised or shaved away slice by slice via Mohs surgery in the future.

Keep up with your SPF and you should be fine. I came back paler from our Jamaica trip. SPF 50 no-ad lotion

Yeah, not to beat a dead horse at this point, but don't do it. Any change in skin color, whether a tan or a burn, is a sign of damage. Just do your best to stay on top of reapplying SPF while on your trip.
