I have a 2013 Ford Flex and right now have 3 car seats in the middle row. I put dd's infant bucket seat in the middle, but I'm realizing that it's kinda a pain to lift her seat over DS1's high back booster.
I'd like to move DS1 into the middle and DD to the side behind the driver. However, I don't think there is a lower tether behind the middle seat, just behind the outer seats. Can I make the thether strap go slightly diagonal and clip into the tether that's behind a side seat from the middle seat?
Does that make sense? I feel like I'm not explaining it well, lol.

I'm not 100% sure. I just looked online at the specs of the car and it said there were only 2 tethers in the middle row. To physically look/check I'd need to flip up the back row. We currently have it folded all the way flat, blocking the view of the bottom of the second row.
I think I'll check and move the car seats around this weekend when DH can help me.
Awesome! Thanks for pointing that out. We have the bench seats. Looks like we'll be moving some seats around this weekend a d just hope the boys don't annoy the crap outta each other sitting next to each other.

To answer your original question - you can't use a tether anchor from another seat. So if you wanted to put a seat in the third row and use a tether anchor, it needs to go in the passenger side seat in the third row. But you should hopefully
Yes, I was looking at that link. But that graphic you posted seems to make more sense.
Thanks for answering the question too. I'm glad there are 3 tether spots. It will make everything easier. I think having DS1's high back booster (he's still in the 5 pt harness) will be easiest. He can buckle himself, so I'll just have to reach in and tighten him up and then only have to lift the infant bucket seat into the outer seat.
