Ffs, cervix is one of the least sexy words. Come on Knoxville mom!
Maybe she wants words and phrases like "hoo-haa" "baby dance" "womb gate" or "wee-wee" used, so preshus doesn't learn any offensive terms while he is still impressionable.
we have huge problems in TN... also apparently we are indoctrinating kids to Islam by making them spend 5 weeks in 7th grade learning about the worlds 2d largest religion.
My 14 year old daughter has the option to read this book and write a report on it, in lieu of doing the dreaded science project. She wants to do the project, but I want her to read the book. North GA is not THAT far removed from Tennessee, and I would LOVE to take on some twat-waffle that thinks she should censor what MY child should be able to read.

Generally I don't run into this much so it made me laugh that not only is she in Knoxville, her kid is at the STEM charter high school.
I am always a little suspicious about the schools my kids go to, but so far, everything has been what I would expect and want. But we are only in 3rd grade...our intermediate school (where Jackson is) has a PTA coordinated and run science lab program and I'm going to be doing some of the work next year so I've seen the plans and curriculum for this year as part of learning what I will be doing. They even do dissections in 5th grade. Social Studies has also been what I would expect/want so far. People are crazy though so I try not to be too optimistic about my kids' education but thankfully I haven't run into anything crazy...yet.
Really the most concerning thing at this point is how my kids are being brainwashed to love Rocky Top and everything orange.
