I am SO sick of this apartment smelling like cat pee. Seriously. I cannot figure out what the hell he peed on! He definitely peed on my futon, which is awesome, but that's in the other bedroom and it smells in the living room and kitchen too. I'm picturing him walking around peeing on every square inch of this place. I can't stand it anymore and don't know what to do. I don't even know what to clean because I can't find it! And Febreeze won't get rid of the smell! Help!
((hugs)) estrellita Do you have carpet in the apartment? My dad is a professional carpet cleaner (has owned his very successful business for 25 years now) and unfortunately urine has crystals that never come out...you can use a black light and see them. So while you can sanitize by cleaning, I don't think you can ever really get rid of urine without replacing the pad and carpet. I had a dog that peed on everything and it was very frustrating.
Ugh, estrellita, that's awful. Cat pee is the worst smell to try and get out
My vent is that I'm sick of people at work not listening and reading! I process intake referrals for a clinic- someone called me yesterday about a referral. I explained to her EXACTLY how to fill it out, and sent the form to her. Got it back today, and it's filled out totally wrong. And this is a very easy, straightforward form. So now I have to track her back down and get everything filled out correctly

Yup, it's mostly carpet. Luckily our house is mostly wood, the only carpet is in the living room, play room, and on the steps. We've cleaned up the areas he's peed on with special cleaner but he must have peed on something else recently. I've smelled the blankets, chair, couch, everything I think he might have peed on and can't figure it out. I about puked walking out of the bedroom this morning and could barely breathe doing laundry last night (litter boxes are right next to the laundry area, H just changed the litter too). Ugh it sucks so much!
estrellita- we use the below pic to clean up cat pee, it usually takes most of the smell out. Hopefully you won't have as bad of a problem with this in your house.

We use something from that brand but I can't remember if it's that particular product. I'll have to look! I think the worst thing is that I feel like I smell like cat pee. Even though my clothes are all locked in our room so he couldn't have peed on them. Ugh!!! I can't wait to move so we can try to combat this peeing. Maybe we'll have to take him to the vet again even though it's never helped before. We don't really have the money for another $80 shot!
Because I need another potential health issue going on right now, I'm on day three of a really gross rash on my chin and I can't decide if I should see my doctor about it. It almost looks like poison ivy or something, but it's just a dime sized patch in the middle of my chin. I can't figure out what could have caused such a localized reaction in that spot.
TMI CAUSE IT'S GROSS: It's blistered up and the blisters keep weeping, scabbing up, and then breaking themselves open so they can weep again every couple of hours. It hurts and it itches and I'm feeling really self-conscious about it, but I don't know if it's doctor-worthy.
estrellita once I smell cat pee that all I smell for days.
katespade- I hope that goes away quickly. I vote for seeing a doctor if it lasts too much longer. (Maybe going on Friday if it hasn't started to clear.)
awick14 - Maybe I'll call my doctor today to see if I can schedule something for the end of the week, then cancel if it does go away. Our just ask them if they think it's worth an appointment.

estrellita, try this product, it's awesome! My parents use it in the house when the dogs get sprayed by skunks.
I left a pound of ground beef in the car trunk over night in the middle of the summer and this stuff got rid of the dead body smell in a couple of days.
My vent is that I couldn't sleep this morning. I work nights tonight so I thought I'd sleep in until at least 9, but no 5:45 I'm wide awake. So I think I'll lay on the couch watching tv or something for a few hours.
I'm a disaster today. I spilled coffee down the front of my shirt and I forgot my glasses at home. My allergies are also acting up so I've got a headache. I can't wait until 3:30.
I ran over something this morning on the way to work. It was dark and could have been an animal. Lovely huh. I text my boss that I need to go to the dealership because I hear a scraping noise. We had one of our millionth meetings on open enrollment and I needed to miss one so I didn't have a fiery car crash later this week. She texts me back, "Alright. I need an update on such-and-such as soon as you return." She clearly told me LAST week, I didn't have to go to all of them....she just loves a good power trip every once and a while. I got back way earlier than expected (simple fix that cost $0 to repair) and she had the nerve to send the Controller by to see if I was in my office. Good grief. I come in early and stay late. Plus, I was looking at emails while I waited. Heck, I raced into the office to grab my laptop so I could work while I waited and the Controller saw me and we waved. Do you need to see my receipt from the dealership? The "perks" of working with a manager with no previous management experience.

((hugs)) MrsMB. Your manager sure is something else. Doesn't she have anything better to do...like work! Good grief! She's lucky to have such an awesome and devoted employee on her hands...you seriously work your butt off- she needs to back off!
ETA: Glad your car repair was simple and no money!

I'm annoyed with Dh's lack of ability to get the girls ready for school. I have them fed, dressed, teeth brushed, shoes on, lunches packed, ready to run out the door like in 30-45 mins. tops. H on the other hand was fighting with one child about getting her hair brushed for like a half hour while I was trying to sleep. I finally dragged my ass out of bed went down stair took the hair brush form him and finished doing every ones hair. Changed dd's cloths because she was in a dress that was WAY too small. I got 2 pairs of socks and located 2 pairs of shoes and put on every one. It took like 15 mins. All while dh was still rummaging around a laundry basket to find socks for them. DUDE it's not that hard.
