There is a Soup for Teachers facebook page that is organizing support for teachers (then most schools have their own page created for their school's specific needs).
I know for Adams they have set up a Sign-Up Genius today to bring drinks and snacks. Some teachers have specifically requested fresh fruit and veggies (I think lots of people have been bringing carbs). We brought some homemade muffins this morning and they were very appreciative. The Sign-Up Genius for tomorrow is for salads, wraps, sandwiches, drinks, etc. But I think even a honk, a wave, or walking in the picket line for a bit is appreciated.
From the Adams Facebook page: Write to the Superintendent if you haven’t already done so, and urge him to meet the demands of the teachers and work to find a solution that supports our students.
