Noooo... I've tried Fage, Wegmans brand, Oikos and Chobani. Should I get Noosa? Unfortunately, I think they only carry it certain places. Probably Whole Foods. I usually go to Wegmans or Trader Joes. Does it have a lot of sugar? I also try to keep my yogurt either plain or at about 100 calories. Oikos triple 0 or Chobani simply 100 for the flavored ones.
Target carries Noosa. You should be able to find it at any major grocery store in your area. It is 1000x better than Fage, Oikos and Chobani.
Just relax, guy, you couldn't stop this train if you wanted.
pennypenny, how long have you been meat free? That will determine my level of assistance. I don't know that I feel good about helping someone come back to meat, but let's see lol.
Since I was 16. Sooo....18/19 years. The first few years I didn't eat seafood, but I have since I went to college. I have tried to give it up before (just adding chicken) but something always happens to freak me out. Mad cow, foot and mouth. And then I got some cooked chicken from Whole Foods a few years ago and I think I bit into a piece of fat or something and that grossed me out. So I don't know if I have the stomach to actually eat meat again, but I may try.
Wtf! No way, no way, no way. Do not do this. I was going to help for anything under 2 years, but no. This is like someone coming in the natural thread like, "Hey, guys, been natural for almost 20 years, but going to relax this weekend." . You would not support that. Do not do it. Also, I think you will get sick. Get the modified meal.
Oh and if we want to get to 100 pages on food talk, I am thinking of eating meat again just because I want to do Table 21 at Volt. I know they can make meal modifications, but the regular just looks so good. Woman of my convictions. Ha.
Can you handle cooking meat? You could start sneaking it into food; ground turkey in chili, crispy diced bacon in salads. If you cook it yourself you don't have to worry about accidentally biting into a chunk of fat and getting all squicked out. I have texture issues with food and can totally relate to the gross out/squickyness of biting into animal fat.

I hate Chobani. I can stand Oikos. I don't have a Wegmans near where I live now. I know for sure Whole Foods has Noosa because the gas where I get it. I never ever get plain (what's next--vanilla is your favorite ice cream flavor ?), so I have no info on that. It is very creamy, however, and not sour. Please tag me and thank me after we work together to change your life.
Well I mix fruit with it. Again, just to be healthy. The only time I eat plain PLAIN is when I use it as a substitute for sour cream.
I may have heard that Noosa makes a pumpkin flavor, so I will seek this out.

I will admit that I have started eating seafood again. It's good.
I am supposed to eat 5 protein servings per day. I'd love to get all that vegan-style or something, but it would be a hell of a lot of tofu. So I eat yogurt and eggs everyday, and whey protein powder in my smoothie, and sometimes I eat seafood now, too.

Yeah, I wouldn't be able to cook beef or pork, either. Chicken, maybe.
When I went to WD-50 last year, one of the dishes had frog legs. That was also a no-go. I don't know if it's considered seafood or not, but I'm not going to eat it.

My Target has Noosa. Regular Target, not even a Super Target.

Pumpkin? Okay, cool, this is where we part ways.
@mryrcn, what about the mango?? I'm not even heavy into mango like that, but it's amazing. The blueberry and the peach are no slouches either.
I could really probably eat only the mango all the time, but I always feel compelled to get different flavors of yogurt. I don't think I could handle getting like 5 containers of mango. Seems drastic.

"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

Wegmans has Noosa here.
My Wegmans is disappointing. I had a coupon for Ancient Grains quinoa and they didn't carry it. It's only 2 years old! It's not like some broke-ass 20 year old Wegmans or anything.
I've never cooked greens, but I'll happily eat them as long as they're cooked with some type of meat something (lard, bacon, whatever).
Tilapia is practically tasteless, so I have no issues with it.
I need a good grits recipe, and I'd almost kill for a good cornbread recipe. I just can't come up with one tastes right. And I'm not even picky. I like the sweet and unsweetened versions.

moose wood cookbook for corn bread.
I typically make polenta, not grits. Same grain but different style prep
this thread is giving me the sadz b/c i have no food culture. blue box and hot dogs dont count. lol
My food culture is hoagies. And other sandwiches. My whole family will go nuts for sandwiches. Like thanksgiving is basically just the prelude to the real event - leftover sandwiches. It's an art.

I can only help with sweet. I don't like unsweet, but I guess you could take this, leave out the sugar and vanilla and add about a half teaspoon of salt. Oh, and maybe just a dollop of sour cream.
3/4 cup cornmeal 1 1/4 cup flour 1/4 cup sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1 cup milk 1 egg 1/4 cup oil 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1 tbsp butter
Preheat oven to 400. Mix the first four ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix the next four together in another bowl. Stick a cast iron skillet in the oven with the butter in it. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredient bowl and mix until smooth. Swirl the butter around the pan so that its coated and then pour the mixture into the pan. Bake for about 25 min.

My food culture is also not super strong - red meat and veggies state growing up. But the specialty thing is Huckleberries! They are so good in everything - shakes, pies, cakes, scones, pancakes, etc. The other local thing we always ate was morel mushrooms - we'd go get them in fire areas the year after a burn and then cook them with a lot of butter and garlic.
