I am sypposed tondo 5 miles. Except therr is a high chance of thunderstorms. So i cant runnoutside. I have to drop h off at work then i have a dr appointment so i guess maybe after that i will run over to the gym to run on the treadmill.
Also i am totally second guessing this half marathon idea. So if you guys couls give some encouragement or something yeh.
I fell and got injured halfway through my marathon training. I've been cleared to run but after several weeks of no running and running at 70%, I've just been feeling down. My friend who was supposed to travel with me also found out he has to work that weekend, so I was going to go alone. Normally, I would really enjoy a weekend alone, but the uncertainty of a first marathon + injury really made me nervous. After a brutal long run this weekend, I finally decided to switch to a local marathon. I'll have to eat the fees for the other marathon, but I'm really happy I made the change. It means my family can watch my first marathon and if, God forbid, anything bad happens, I won't 8 hours from home.
I did a 20 minute core workout yesterday. It felt good, but not the same at all.
I'm back at the office today. Getting here was a big PITA. Driving worked out ok, but a little scary since I pretty much never drive into the city during rush hour. I picked up slugs for the first time (I've been a slug many times, but never the reverse).
I'm freaking annoyed that the payment for my MCM transfer did not go through PayPal. It's a friend of someone in my MRTT group so I'm hoping it's just an honest mistake. I e-mailed her to resend But I had a feeling something like this might happen. It was last minute so I couldn't be too picky about who I sold it to. But if this person tries to screw me over. She's in trouble, because I'm not letting this go without a fight.

joenali so excited for you. Hopefully you feel okay after the swim.
Hugs ilovecandy it gets hard at times. Hopefully this is just one of those weeks/times and it will pass.
brooke77 sorry to hear about your injury. I hope you have a good rest of the training cycle.
I'm really getting nervous about my 20 miles this weekend. My right calf has been really tight lately. I got a massage on Monday and I feel like if anything that made it worse. Hopefully resting, rolling, and compression help.

Don't fuck with a runner who can't run! Hope you get your $
brooke77, did you switch to Baystate? If I remember correctly, you're in MA.
I have been having a lot of hip pain, and I'm going to skip today's planned 5 and maybe do some strength exercises instead. I have really slacked on cross/strength training.
I switched to Hartford! I was thinking of Baystate but I wasn't sure about the course (double loop?), so decided on Hartford instead.
I have been doing the plank challenge with two coworkers. We did 4 minutes today. For some reason it was tougher than when we did it yesterday, but I also did a lot of CORE work at the gym yesterday too...
Going to do a 3 mile run today and then take tomorrow off to help my folks with things around their house. 5 SLOW miles for Saturday.
I love that my legs are muscular. I like to admire them EXCEPT when I am trying on dresses. My legs are thick but muscular and in tight work out capris and shorts I love them but in dresses they look out of place.
I have a just for fun sprint tri next Saturday. My friend with MS is doing it so I am going to hang with her instead of racing. I'm not worried about it, but I haven't swam in a pool in about 8 weeks and my last open water swim was 6 weeks ago.
