I have SO much laundry to get caught up on. When we had the appraisal done this week I shoved everything in whatever place I could to make it look better so I lost track of dirty vs clean and now am washing everything that wasn't put away. Ugh.
SIL is suppose to come by today. Might help my mom paint tomorrow at her house if she can pick out a color in time.

We plan on staying at the house tonight to get a few things done. H wants to mow the lawn for sure. Plus we want to go to the post office and they're only open 8:30-9:30am on Saturdays. Yes, one whole hour. Lol.
Tomorrow my mom is going to have some people over for my sister's birthday.
Sun we are going to Ren Fest. Since I just posted about having no money I'll mention that my mom gave us money to go. She kept insisting, lol. I'm excited though!
H is leaving on Sunday, so I'm guessing that we will spend the weekend taking care of whatever else needs to be done before his flight. No plans beyond that.
estrellita - Oh my gosh, your post office. What is the point of only being open for an hour??? lol.
Right?! Who wants to go to work for an hour? Lol. Fridays they're only open until like noon also. Yay small towns!
I bet it takes them more time to open and close the building than the amount of time they're open. If I worked there, I would be so annoyed. Yay, small towns! Hahaha.
Crying into my coffee about how much our health insurance premium is going up next year. Not really because it's still not that expensive, but damn. 84% increase.
I need to run a million errands today and over the weekend because they are shutting down our main access road on Monday. After that, we will have to take the loooong way off of the mountain for who knows how long. I think this is the beginning of the sewer replacement project. It's especially annoying because our detour is also the detour for another unrelated construction project.
The condensate pump crapped out on one of our AC units yesterday. We knew it was on its last legs so no surprising. Thankfully it has cooled off significantly so we can get by with running only one unit for the weekend.

ewall Ouch! I am dreading seeing what ours will be. We already pay a lot because we have to have the best plan in order to have IF coverage, the 2 lower level ones don't include it.
estrellita I'm sure the post office employees don't only work for the time the office is open, they do other stuff in addition to serving customers. But weird to have the counter open for only an hour! Our post office here actually has really good hours, one perk of being int he city I guess.

Trying to get a few more things done around the house before we head up to NJ for the weekend. DH is getting out of work a little bit early so hopefully we'll get in at a decent time.
Tomorrow is mani/pedi (with gc my mom gave me, score) and wedding. And my birthday. And Tennessee vs Oklahoma which I am SO bummed about missing. I am really hoping this wedding venue has a tv somewhere. Otherwise I'll be asking DH to keep checking the score on his phone.
Sunday we're going apple picking and maybe hitting up a few stores before coming home. It's going to be a quick trip but pretty full.

HoneySpider yeah I figured they were there more than an hour but still, lol. What weird hours! If we get USPS packages sent to us we're rarely going to be able to pick them up with their hours! They don't deliver here (even though they deliver to my coworker on the next block over...) so we have to go pick things up there unless it's UPS/FedEx.
bk1- I would have done the same thing with the laundry, then been upset that I did it. Lol I might have missed t but how did the appraisal go?
estrellita- staying at the house will be fun. Are you going to be sleeping on an air mattress on the floor? amaranth- we are leaving tonight to go out of town, I haven't packed anything yet. I need to pack clothing, add water to the trailer, and put in food.
ewall- 84% increase?!?!?!? When you ladies post about your medical bills I realize how lucky I am to live where I do. I wish there was some way for the US to have a medical system like ours.
HoneySpider- that sounds like a good weekend. And happy bday weekend!
I picked up an extra night shift last night. Yay for the $$ but boo for the lack of sleep. I have a million things to do today before we leave town around 4:30. Good thing it's only 7am here. Urg.

awick14 that's the plan! We have the pack & play for E and we have an air mattress. At least I hope we do, it might be at ILs with our camping stuff.. if not we might just bring a bunch of blankets or say screw it and come back home and go to the post office next weekend instead.
And there are people trying to make our health care system more similar to yours, but there is a ton of push back and I'm not sure it's being done quite right. I'd love a lot of the benefits you get! I actually really loved our short time in Canada and wouldn't mind living there if it weren't so far from our families!
awick14 I think it went well. We haven't heard a number yet. I'm so nervous. We put so much blood, sweat, and tears into this house. I know it will be appraised higher then when we bought it just not sure how much higher. Hoping to hear today.
We're finishing up open enrollment today at work. It AMAZES me how adults lack reading comprehension when it comes to emails regarding their benefits. I feel like the school systems failed them. When I leave today, I'm running by party city to pick up a few things for our family get-together next week.
I was supposed to go see my inlaws this weekend, but I cancelled and sent my H alone. I'm too overwhelmed with school work to spend 6 hours in the car getting there and back. Plus, they live in the middle of nowhere with terrible internet, so I wouldn't be able to get much done at their house anyway.
Instead I'm going to have a girly movie night by myself and then spend tomorrow getting caught up on work. Sunday we are celebrating my little grandma's 87th birthday.

We're on the road, only an hour late. Considering none of us were packed and M screamed all morning I consider this a success. I did forget my vitamins, and didn't have enough time get get a new library book
I sure hope we don't get in a crash because our house is so disheveled right now. I don't want anyone in there to see it. Packing and laundry just tore things upside down. Am I the only one who thinks oddly morbid things like this? Lol.
amaranth I always worry that it we got stuck somewhere....like tornados all over town, massive storm, etc. and couldn't get home....that our animals would be freaking out trying to get food in the house. Crazy. Sorry today got off to a hectic start

bk1- Hope your appraisal comes back higher than expected! We are cleaning for the realtors (yes, now we are meeting with our realtor and my uncle, who is also a realtor we might use for either or both transactions) and I am shoving things in my side of our desk drawers...those should be fun to clean later!
estrellita- Enjoy sleeping over at YOUR NEW HOME!!! Brings back good memories from when we bought this house...we spent every weekend here April til we moved in June. We put sleeping bags on the floor in the living room and camped out- fun times!
HoneySpider- Hope you have the best birthday weekend yet! Sounds like a busy but very fun weekend planned!
amaranth- Glad you were able to get out somewhat on schedule! What's with our boys screaming today (C is a mess too and I need to pack/do a bunch of stuff before we leave)!?!? Hope you have a wonderful weekend with family!
ewall- Yikes! That is a ginormous increase Hope your construction goes as fast as possible...I hate construction problems and all the traffic/mess they create (mainly the 91 freeway...that is causing so many problems and it made my commute horrible...and it won't be finished for a FEW YEARS!).
TGIF! Today got off to a rough start...DH went outside to make sure the sprinklers were turning on/off and let a bird inside our house. Feathers EVERYWHERE So I had to vacuum downstairs before letting C hit the floor (which also included picking up all his stuff beforehand)...only to be reminded how traumatized he is by the vacuum He's a super fussy, clingy mess today and I have a ton of stuff to get done so we can leave when he wakes up tomorrow morning. Should be a fun day!
But, VACATION starts tomorrow!!! So excited! Can't wait to be on the road...the drive is beautiful so hopefully C will let us enjoy the scenary! We are spending Sat til Tues with DH's BFF from HS and then heading to Lake Tahoe for a few days, coming home on Fri! Probably won't be on here much after C wakes from his nap so I hope you lovely ladies have a wonderful weekend and upcoming week!
Today I went shopping with my mom at Sam's Club and Walmart. I spend way too much money. I bought a new printer since our old one is just a basic printer. Now we have a fancy wireless printer/scanner/copier/fax. My mom also spoiled me and bought me a tablet since I have been helping her so much lately. Also because DH's laptop broke and he has been hogging mine. Later I have to go to my mom's to help her pack up the basement.
Saturday we aren't doing anything. We were going to march in a parade but decided to stay home instead.
Sunday we were originally going to work but it got canceled so we have no plans except housework.

I've been buried at work today, but feeling accomplished which is always nice! ALL of the coworkers on my team either worked at home or took the day off, so I had no distractions.
Nothing too exciting going on this weekend. Tonight I think H and I may watch a movie. Tomorrow I've got a bunch of returns to make and Sunday a bridal shower. I need to figure out what to wear since the invite requested black attire.
