I've seen sibil (I think) reference this before, but I honestly thought she was just naming a random math thing for a silly example. I didn't realize there is actually a group of people opposed to set theory. WHAT THE FUCK?
I'm ignoring everything else and focussing on this one issue because I don't want my brain to explode.

MIL homeschooled H for one year using a religious-based textbook. Thankfully he somehow turned out normal, but we still have the book somewhere. I should dig it out, because I'm sure it's full of gems like this. H says it talks about how wonderful the Crusades were because they brought so many people to Christ.

This is giving me flashbacks to when my parents attempted a religious zealot curriculum while homeschooling me. BJU and A Beka are two of the biggest providers of homeschool curriculum. UGH.
I am actually not averse to the idea that the laws of mathematics are an extension of some Godly creation. It is often strange how beautifully a "man-made" language has applications that were not necessarily intended. Especially how almost perfectly mathematical models explain natural phenomena.
