I just saw a recipe for Plantation Peanut Soup in my crockpot cookbook. I had to do a double take. Really, they could let come up with a better recipe name than that.
Like "peanut soup" or even "perfect peanut soup" if you want to be fancy. How hard is that?

I couldn't go to my grandpa's funeral in July. My cousin called and asked me why and then it turned out a lot of people didn't go, and all these secrets came out at the funeral like he cheated on my grandma and some pretty horrible other allegations.
The cheating is kinda between them but the other stuff makes us wonder if we ever knew him, and makes you question your relationship and all that. And it sucks because the guy is dead and cannot defend himself and there is nothing to be done about it now anyway.
I really loved and admired him. I am kinda pissed to be processing old family skeletons now. And yet the people I would talk about this stuff to don't know and I don't want to spread the feelings I have now about him to them. Let them stay out of it... Ugh it sucks.

Hugs Michelle. That's tough.
I went to a walk in clinic today and I have the beginning of pink eye for the first time in my life. DH and I have since spent the day watching MASH. We finished season 3 with the sad ending and are a few episodes into season 4 now.

DH and I (mostly DH) stripped our deck today to prepare to stain it- our 12 x 33 deck. That's a hell of a lot of deck. While the two of us are a great couple, we have to tag team home improvement projects. So, I'll stain on Monday and he'll finish the job on Wednesday. If we try to work together on them at the same time, it ends up in us both getting snippy. Is anyone else like that?

Snippy isn't the word. I have flat out told him I will not help unless he is able to keep his mouth shut, lol.

It looks good! But, I will have to 86 the raisins because gross.
LOL. I hesitated on putting the raisins (used regular instead of golden) in, because DH is not a fan, but ultimately decided he can pick them out. I'm making pork chops tomorrow that are just for him, since I don't eat pork, and figured I'd the chicken how I like it, since I'll be the main one eating it.
Windows 10 has ruined my life for the time being. If you haven't uploaded it yet, DON'T! IT'S A TRAP!!
What's it done to you? I go between loving and hating it. Hating it, because at times my screen/mouse will take on a life of its own, rendering it useless unless I turn it off.

I have spent weeks trying to get my wifi to stay connected. DH and I both have been working on it and we finally just gave up and went to factory reset the whole thing. Only now it refuses to restore and I may have to send it to HP for service because my warranty expired.
I still have my old Mac but my PC is basically dead in the water.

Oh no. Hope you don't have to send it to HP.
Well good news! I took it to my dad as a last ditch effort before we called HP and he got it back up and running. I'm back to Windows 8 and as far as I'm concerned that can stay that way for awhile.
