I'm going to look at a few more tomorrow after my event but I think I've found the place.
It's a one bedroom, 550 sq ft, w/d in unit, new carpet, paint, appliances, quiet building, closer to bars, 2 blocks from 2 different malls, 2 blocks from public transit, gas station next door, fitness center. And it's the same building the girl I carpool with lives.
The cons, it's a little more north and west than I'd like. No grocery store within walking distance. Not sure how I like taking the bus to grocery shop.
It's $700 with a $500 deposit but I asked the guy if I signed a year lease if he'd be okay with a $250 deposit. He is. ;D
I'm not making any decisions until later this week. But I'm getting more excited about having my own place again. ;D
I don't think we have any grocery delivery options. I'm googling it now and it doesn't look promising. SLC is behind the curve. LOL.
Eh, well with the expenses of moving my car purchase is being delayed. I'm not quite sure how long yet. Instead of getting one this month like I planned, it will likely be the end of September. Which really, really sucks.
No. I didn't take pictures. I should have. It's in an old historic building, over 100 years old. Still has the original molding and these adorable stainless glass cupboard things. 7 giant windows that let in a lot of light. It's gorgeous. And exactly the type of building I've always wanted to live in.
The only problem I have is the location. But that's me being picky about stupid shit.
But I have to admit, my eyes about popped out of my head at those numbers. My apartment is 1100 sq ft, 2 bed, 2 bath, walk in closet, w/d in unit and I pay $740 a month. In a really good part of town. Not walkable, but I don't really live in a walkable area.

:-( You live in LCOL! That's isn't even possible in my part of Iowa. At least not if you don't want to live in the ghetto.

This is like me saying wow, that's cheap, I paid $1350 for a 550 sq foot apartment in Brooklyn. The two aren't really comparable.

She's actually got a really good price for that location and a w/d included.
That sounds like a good place with good amenities at a good price, and although the location isn't your first choice, it will be super helpful until you get a car. I wouldn't wait. What if someone else takes it?
