I can't believe I missed this thread. My husband makes me shave his back and butt. Last time, my son walked in during and demanded to help. I can only imagine the stories he told his daycare provider about this family bonding activity.
I let it grow back for the first two years after LO was born. I just recently went back to "bare". :-)
I shave my husband's back too. He's never asked me to shave his asscrack. Thankfully.

I'm old so back in the day bush was normal. I trim it but that's about it. Plus after my surgery it looks weird so the bush helps hide the odd shape. I know, TMI.
My bush and I have a bond. It wasn't until I was 18 or so that I started shaving. And I only shave when the mood strikes. But I shave it standing up.
I do find that being bare really does make periods less gross. I feel more sanitary.
I also absolutely love that this went to butt hair because I'm hairy and my butt, cheeks and all, have hair and I shave that. I am 100% okay with bush hair but butt hair? I feel like a freak of nature with it, I just have this pre-conceived notion that women should not have butt hair. So off it goes.
I usually do a quick shave up my arse as well when I'm maintaining down there, just to catch any strays....but I've had the worst hemmies lately...and it makes the entire area a massive minefield. One wrong turn and BAM you're bleeding out on the shower floor, looking like a beached whale.
After reading this I have come to the conclusion I have mini bush. I shave the sides and a bit of the top, but what grows between does its own thing. H doesn't care. I used to, but now? No.

I'm suspecting those without butt hair actually do have some fine hair that isn't easily visible there. I'm naturally blonde with fine body hair, and I still have some ass hair. Waxing is my religion.
