In terms of their look/setup? I am trying to build a website for the boutique I am working for since I finally quit my no fun full time job:) The owner gave me a few work at home projects and I am trying to tackle this one first since it's a big one.
I like the look/simplicity of shopbop for example. I find it easy to navigate.

Shopbop is good. I also liked Zappos for clothing when they were giving the model's height, weight, and sizes (I think they may have even included bra). It helps to know the scale that the clothes are on to determine length. I like sites that load faster too. If I have to wait forever for details, I move on. I hate sites where you can't easily get a picture of a piece. I don't mind sending links to some people, but not all since I don't want some friends to know what I'm spending. I like to getopinions without giving too much detail.
I love Shopbop as well (everything about it actually - shipping, site navigation, selection, etc). In contrast, I feel like Revolve Clothing has a similar market but their website is just a total mess.
I love Net-A-Porter's site too; it's great to see the items on a model/mannequin and styled with other items.
I hate sites like BR, Gap, and Express...the quick look option is just dumb to me and I'd rather just get to the item and read the description, etc. J. Crew drives me crazy because the description always needs to be expanded.
I don't really love their clothes but I adore how much information Boden provides, especially measurements. I'm tall with long legs and a love for high heels, so I need to know how long a skirt, dress, or inseam will be so I don't waste my time or money on something that's unflatteringly short. I also like front and back mannequin shots so I'm not trying to decipher how something is shaped based on a model's pose.

I also love Net-A-Porter's styling. It's sold me on stuff I was iffy about since I had clues on how to style something. I like Musthavebag.com alot for a bag site. It loads fast, has good pictures, and has bags on mannequins for scale. It's a really good site considering it's a pair of WAHMs. Luna Boston had a great site, but I think they went under. I also love when a site puts sale pieces at the end of a regular price page and on sale pages too. Sometimes I like to look at everything as opposed to just regular price or just sale stuff.
Pros: reviews, being able to save a pic, being able to zoom in on details, measurements, size/height of model, material & washing instructions, search by categories (apparel type, color, length, price, etc), option to select number of items viewed per page (i prefer to see dozens of items on one page vs flipping several pages to see dozens of items)
Cons: quick view, slow, once you add something to your cart you can't easily go back to the category you were in and have to "start over"

I like Boden's site, for all the info they give about the fit and sizing. Also, I love how Piperlime and Shopbop have a photo of a person or mannequin with the handbag so you can see how it really looks.
I don't like Banana Republic's site...for some reason their photos look "off" and their clothes don't look as nearly as nice as they do in the store.
I also like being able to toggle between available colors on the search page, and not having to click on the specific item. F21's website does that.
Good point! I hate that!
preppy- I also hate when logging onto a site if they have a model in an outfit if you can't easily click and be linked to the specific item to purchase.

Another thing, I like how certain sites (like anthro and modcloth) allows reviewers to post a pic of them in the item and also list their measurements. I feel like it gives me a better idea of how items would fit body shapes more similar to mine.

Target is so annoying because they'll have one pair of shoes in 3 colors, but they are all listed separately. They're all over the place. I think they've gotten a little bit better about this, but I remember it used to frustrate the heck out of me!

Yes! I also prefer to see a clothing item on an actual person than on a mannequin.
It's also helpful to know the model's size/measurements and what size she is wearing.

Reviews are my top "pro". If the site doesn't do reviews I likely don't order from there.
I also love videos - like Asos does a "see it on the runway" and you can really tell how the clothes fit. I also like the Zappos videos. If there's a shoe that's cheaper somewhere else I'll still go there to see the video and to look at the pics (I feel like their pics are really true to color, which is also a plus).
I hate when sites don't let you pick more than one price range. They'll do $50-$100 and then $100-$200. If I want to go up to $150 I have to search twice. Piperlime used to do this, but they just updated the site and the new search features are so much better. Still not as good as Endless/Zappos, but getting there.

Gah. Target is the WORST at this. The worst. Just thinking about it is making me stabby.
