I'm in a wedding in three weeks and decided to do my own make up (about half of us are doing our own), since I have so much. Any tips or tricks I should make sure to use or essential products I should be sure to have on hand that day?

Go heavier than normal with your makeup. You'll want it to show up in pictures, etc. Check your powders on your face with a flash. Some reflect back white and you don't want that in pictures.

BIL is getting married (outside) next May. I've already been thinking about my makeup for a couple months
As far as foundation, my plan is primer, setting spray, powder (for Goss method), setting spray, Tarte Full Coverage Amazonian Clay foundation, setting spray, then Tarte powder full coverage foundation. Yes, two foundations. Some blogger did those exact two foundations for a wedding and looked AMAZING, so I'm going to test it out and see how it works for me. (I'm trying to find the link and having NO luck. It was a blogger with pale skin and dark hair, and she did a post about how all her readers said she wasn't really testing the foundations because she obviously had perfect skin, so she did a post where she showed that she had acne scars and that this foundation covered it all.)
Bring blotting papers to soak up oil without taking off your makeup.

I am definitely going to test out the Goss method! My biggest concern is my combo skin getting shiny quickly. Thanks!
Try wearing falsies! I'm in a wedding next month and I'm test running them over the weekend. They look so good in pictures.
I want to, I've never applied them! I will pick some up soon and give it a try. Good suggestion!
My best tip for applying falsies if you aren't practiced at it is to get the regular strip lashes, then cut them in half. Whichever end has the longest lashes, that end goes to the outer corner of your eye.
Lay a strip of glue along the lash, then give it about 20 seconds to get a little tacky before you try to put it on your eye.
Holding the very outer corner of the lash, lay the outside corner down, first. Then move your way toward the middle (there is no inner corner, really, since you cut the strip into a half strip.) If there's a spot that isn't laying right along your lash line, it's okay. Use your middle finger to try to guide it downward into place. I have had luck moving the strip downward, but not right and left once it's on the eye.

I tried the Goss method, or something similar at least, for my make up today. I did primer, setting powder, setting spray, foundation, setting powder, setting spray. It is definitely keeping my shine at bay. Usually I would've had to blot by now (5 hours of wear time so far) but I'm not very shiny at all. I might need to do this everyday now...
