AAA has a service for members where they have someone "shop" for a car for you. You tell them what you want and they are supposed to negotiate the best price, get you all the dealer incentives and special financing, and then deliver the car to your home or work and pick up your trade-in.
I'm pretty confident in my ability to negotiate on a new car price but this sounds so much easier. Thoughts?
I'm not sure I'd trust someone else to get me the best deal. If they negotiate and then call you to tell you what price they got vs being locked in, it would probably be worth seeing what someone else could do first.
I've done this same thing through Costco years ago and found it to be fantastic. I stink had negotiating though - so this worked well for me. Not to mention, spending hours at a car dealer is my idea of hell.

Right? Mine too. I'm going to try it out, see what they can get me, and if I'm not jumping up and down over the price, give it a go on my own.
Would it be crazy to drive 2 hours to buy a car? The local dealerships don't have what I want with the trim and options I want. I refuse to pay $2500 for the navigation package when I have a Garmin.
