The boys have gotten way too much screen time this afternoon and are currently sharing a bag of chips in the playroom because DD has been super fussy and only wants to nap in my arms. Only one hour left till DH gets home.
I went to a consignment sale earlier this evening and H was home with both kids. "I don't know how you do it!" was the first thing he said when I got home. This means I need to leave him more often with both. It's usually just and him and X since K always comes with me.
I'm getting her to bed now and then finishing some laundry. I put clean sheets on the bed earlier. I love sleeping in fresh sheets!
Do you let a baby keep sleeping that has clearly shit their diaper explosively? Asking for a friend. My friend is so tired of changing shitty diapers btw.
If I am trying to sleep I wait until the next feeding/up to 3 hours.

farmvillelover, yes. I've been DD occasionally sleep in poopy diapers because I figure she never sleeps for very long, so it can't hurt that much.
At night sometimes I'll hear her fuss like an hour after a feeding, poop and then fall back asleep. I don't change her until she really wakes up for the next feeding in another hour or too. I just put diaper cream on her at every night change.
I got into it with a parent after dinner at the park.
Some asshole dad was with a group of 15 or so boys, aged 10-14. He was encouraging them to play tag and run around the playground area where there were tons of little kids. They were doing parkour on the little slide for little kids and one jumped over a baby in a sand pit and the grandma shrieked. I asked if he could move away from the little kids and he responded "No, I think they're fine here." I explained that it was dangerous for the little ones and he responded "I have two little kids, they're 6 and 8 and I we're not doing anything wrong."

I am making another trip to the donation center tomorrow so have been wheeling and dealing with people that want to buy stuff for a steal. Made another $35 today, will make $50 tomorrow. Whee!

I think my poor girl has pink eye. I feel so bad for her. I missed Meet the Teacher night tonight because of it. We had a lot of fun plans for this weekend, now I don't know what she'll be up for. She didn't have any sick days in kindergarten, but this year she'll likely have one the first week of school.
My kid has gone from refusing anything in crib to insisting on Mickey, Minnie, Dino, Baby Stella, a play bottle, and a book. AND now she doesn't call for us immediately in the a.m. Because she's too busy playing!
I am keeping a running list of what I have purchased for Christmas and the cost. I usually don't. I have learned that I am ridiculous and it's only September.
I always change poop, even if she was sleeping in the middle of the night. It's prime opportunity for a rash and that wasn't worth it to me. Plus my conscious couldn't sleep if I knew her diaper was full of poop.

You guys, my kid is so cautious and scared of everything out of his comfort zone.
We tried tumbling class and he wouldn't try anything but the slide and tunnel at first. Bawled when the teacher put him on the balance beam. The other kids were loving climbing and playing. Maybe he was just tired, but I hope he gains some confidence. I feel like i failed him by always telling him to be careful.

I'm at my neighbors waiting for her high school aged babysitter to show up. I need to go to target and have a glass of wine soon, so hurry up teenager!!!!!!
E gave me her first big smile today. I was calming her down with her paci, and she was staring in my eyes, then she spit it out, gave me the biggest smile and just held her gaze with me and it just melted my heart. I swear it was a whole minute! I wish I could bottle up that moment.
Before this she has been cooing and smiling/smirking here and there, between her grumpy periods. But it's been nothing quite like this.
It's my fourth wedding anniversary and H and I are celebrating in style. Dinner at Olive Garden with a toddler and watching Fast & Furious 7 while I setup my new Fitbit. At least I got cake to bring home for dessert.
Dd1 is telling me a ghost story she made up about a ghost named Grocery Grandma who tries to eat people on Halloween. She has claws and wears a disguise and you have to kill her with a sword.
ETA I feel like Grocery Grandma must be Canadian because their grocery stores have everything else, why not ghosts too? But DD1 has corrected me; Grocery Grandma is from Australispooky.
ETA 2. Holy crap. They are filming a TV show in my neighborhood right now and dd1 is yelling at the workers who pass by, "IT'S HALLOWEEN! LOOK OUT FOR GROCERY GRANDMA!" Where in the hell does she get this stuff?!

I went to a JBF consignment sale today and walked out with nothing. It was so crowded and the line to check out was so long. The prices weren't that great either. I might try to go back on Sunday without DS when everything is 50% off.
Today was the first time I took DS out where he didn't cry and create a scene! But as always, he had a big poop blow out at Costco. What is it about that store that gets his bowels going??
Tomorrow afternoon DH is taking DD down to his parents house, so I will have approx 5-6 hours of alone time in my house! This never happens! Now I'm stressing over what to do so I don't waste my time.
I made BLTs with avocado for dinner. I inhaled mine so I could nurse DD2 upstairs. DH ate his after the girls were in bed. When I came downstairs, he told me the entire loaf of bread had mold along the side.

DAMMIT. Mold for dinner.
Bread mold is basically just like a free dose of penicillin. I'd count that as a win?
Ha - that's exactly what I said to H. I have a sore throat, so maybe I will be cured?

I made a pb and j sandwich for lunch and inhaled it because DS was starting to cry. When I put the jelly away, I noticed there was mold growing along the edge of the jar. Yum.
