Well, the last few days haven't been great as I've been sick so I haven't cooked very much - which left it up to DH. Soooo he went and bought frozen pizza. I think he was thrilled to eat it, lol.
I really have very little 'processed' food in the house anymore though so I wasn't able to just grab some cookies and crap to settle down with, which is what I'd normally do. I had homemade zucchini bread, apples, and homemade smoothies and soup to feel better.
I still haven't found a ketchup substitute, but this weekend I will be in a larger city so I will check out their supermarket.
The biggest hurdle is when I'm at someone else's house and they are cooking - I'm not going to turn down their food, so I just eat whatever they are serving no matter how processed. Luckily I've realized most of my friends and family eat pretty good. I had the most fantastic dijon-panko salmon filet with brown rice at my sisters on the weekend. It was delicious.

We are doing well. I started a PT job at a local farm and I can take whatever veggies are left over after market or CSA pickups (as otherwise it becomes chicken feed). So I have convinced myself it would be a colossal waste not to eat all that I can, in addition to freezing a lot.
This week we are doing: Broiled veggies (in oven with S&P and olive oil with barley and white beans Oven roasted tomato sandwiches- roast halved romas at 300 degrees for 2 hours, sprinkle with S&P and OO Succotash- I use the Als Suffering Succotash receipe, googleable Salads for the rest of the week as I cam home last night with 10 heads of lettuce I made a batch of minestrone and froze it for the winter
The kids and I usually eat rice/beans/salsa/guac in a bowl for lunch, and I need to try sauteed bell peppers with that too, as I have them coming out my ears.
So all in all we are doing well, other than temptations to eat out (which I would do all the time if money was no object!) and just making the time to meal plan and be organized so that at 6pm I dont realize i never cooked the beans or whatever.
I would say I'm about 75% back to eating normally for me. I'm still having some trouble with protein (ugh) but I had a huge improvement over the past week. I'm ready to stop eating cereal. Once in a while is ok, but every day? Bleh.
Does anyone here have the link for I think it was the e clean eating plan? There was a budget component to it? I used to have it on my phone and lost it. I could swear someone here had signed up for it.
Recipes - I will look when I get back home. I have a good spaghetti squash one that we really like.
Well, I have all the bottled salad dressing out of the house! I did go out for lunch yesterday, but overall, I'm doing kind of okay. I grabbed some frozen veggie burgers for quick dinners the other day, though. :/
In September I'm giving up alcohol for a month. I know I don't have to, but it will help me clean up my diet and calories. Plus, my bootcamp is having a body composition contest (which involves losing weight and body fat percentage), so it will just be good to do. Annnnnd I think I'll give up cheese. At least most of it. I've gotten a vegan meal plan I think I can work with that uses whole ingredients. I might still have eggs for breakfast and throw a little bit of cheese on salads. I'll probably start that next week and ease into the diet by September.
I made a butternut squash risotto the other night that comes close to qualifying as real food and was super tasty. Basically cook the squash (which was from our garden!) either by baking or boiling, then puree it in a food processor or blender with a little broth. I added butter and cream (which I count as real foods, but that may not be entirely fair) as well as pecans. The biggest violation was the "Better than Bullion" I used to make the broth in which I cooked the rice - I suppose I could have just used some salt, but it tasted really good this week and obviously I am halfhearted anyway.
