I got my first post-pregnancy AF this weekend. Then I had to explain AFs to 6 year old DD. They she whipped out her anatomy book and we talked about baby's some more.

I wake up to DD screaming like someone is trying to rip her arms out of body, I run to her room, and the electronic toy fish tank's batteries have died. I had to switch out the batteries at 4:30 in the fucking morning.
2curlydogs he is so cute and looks like he's having a blast!
DS (5) has decided he wants a baby brother and a baby sister. Great. Except I'm single and the divorce is proceeding to court. Apparently he has been praying for a baby sister and brother at night (my sister had told him that the process to have a baby starts with prayer). Well- in his mind this means that after you pray, your mom is pregnant. DS has also decided on names and birthdates for these hypothetical siblings. He then went so far as to tell his dad on the phone that there is a baby in my belly that will be born in April. Cue shit show with my exH freaking out on me.
I'm sorry, I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time, but I'm still sitting here giggling.
In one year's time, DD has gone from not knowing how to play soccer to being the best player on her team. I don't know that she is naturally athletic so much as stubborn as fuck, but seeing her become her team's clutch player after a dismal start is absurdly gratifying.
OTOH I'm embarrassed as hell that I'm turning into a prototypical soccer mom.
Also - at DS's first tourney this season, one of the teams (approx. 11 or 12yo) had their keeper in an all-hot pink uniform. It looked amazing and H told me he loved that a boys team would stick their keeper in all hot pink nowadays. The kid totally rocked it.

We went to a movie night at DD's school on Saturday, and the little girl that she's become really good friends with was there. I was talking to her dad a bunch, and her parents seem really nice. Thank god. We all joked that we'll be seeing a lot of each other.
And this starts 5 weeks of Disney planning while keeping the trip a secret from DD. This should be fun.

Oh! I totally forgot that 6 year olds get 4 new molars. We were at the dentist and I looked at the hygienist like she was nuts when she said DD had more teeth!! You just don't look at those kid teeth charts after 24 months, you know?

BoyLiu got a haircut yesterday. I was covered in hair, tears and blue lollipop slobber by the time it was over. I don't like it. Not the cut, per se. It looks fine. But I liked his long hair. I liked how he'd stand in front of a fan and shake his hair in the wind.

If you're friends with me on fb, you may have read this. My kid started saying Elmo this weekend. We rarely let her watch TV and she's only seen Sesame Street a handful of times. But she can say elmo with ease.

I'm (obviously) re-thinking htis whole online privacy thing & I think I'm ready to make more changes (some for me& some for my kids). DO we still have lots of other bloggers on this board? I'm thinking about make it private / password protected. I know Google has already skimmed 8 years of content, but I think going forward it's the right thing to do for my kids.
Anybody have advice or should I post a separate thread in the P&CE forum?
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
