I called my boss about rearranging my schedule to accommodate contractors today at our house. He was totally fine with it...which he should be because he later admitted he was still at home, waiting to go to a morning dentist appointment and would not be in the office until this afternoon, lol.
Yesterday was such an odd day. I'm hoping for more normalcy today.

I'm tired today. I put the kids on the bus and went back to bed. This weather is bull shit. I'm freezing and I HATE having hard wood floors. I'm Ready for summer.

You need Snoozies! Hideous, but super comfy and have the grippy bottoms so you don't bust your ass on the hard wood floors I live in Snoozies.

Productive day so far...vacuumed downstairs, cleaned the kitchen floor, and went for a walk with C. Now I just need to clean the downstairs bathroom and take a shower before our realtor gets here tonight...also might go on another walk, baby storytime at the library, and need to make quesadillas for dinner! Yesterday was so busy between C's appointment and all my chores that it feels like today should at least be Thurs! Looking forward to all our appointments being over tomorrow and life going back to normal!
I am super cranky following a thing with the mother unit yesterday. Talking with Dad made me all weepy again as well. I know I overreacted....but I also know where she takes things. Yuck.
She is dilated to a 5 now. They have given her steroids and will stop the meds that stop her contractions later this evening. They are all guessing labor will pick back up. She is earlier then I was told, only 33.5 weeks. Sounds like they feel good about it all though. Thank you for all the T&Ps.
Oh I made this. I'm either gonna cut it in half and boarder it to make 2 quilts or make into 1 quilt and baby doll matching quilts. Haven't decided. Haven't done anything like this in years. Feels so good to craft.

AF made an appearance this a.m. I am already feeling so yucky. Normally it waits until day 2, but my goodness. I work until 3 today then H and I have to run and errand. I wanted to be productive later today to continue my awesome streak. Maybe I'll feel better by the time I get home!
It's amazing how working 30 hours a week makes my house look compared to 65 hrs! I feel like my house is livable again haha
The nanny that we're hiring is coming over today at 3 to kind of get an idea of our routine (ha! What routine?) and see how E feels with her. I'm so nervous about this nanny thing; it feels so weird that someone else will be in our house caring for our child for several hours a day. I hope it works out cuz i don't want to go through the hiring process again. It's so awkward and we're not even into the paperwork part yet.

My poor husband, his commute home tonight is going to SUCK. The pope is on his way to the Vatican Embassy which is less than a mile from our apt. The roads/buses are going to be all jacked.
His work also is not closing or allowing WFH the next few days which is just stupid based on where they are.
We hired a new nurse and I can.not.stand.her. She has only been here two days. She is a temp so we aren't wedded to her but really guys she is so obnoxious.

Is it normal for a seller to take the full alloted time to respond to your offer? I'm feeling impatient and annoyed that we haven't heard back yet. I'm worried that they're waiting as long as they can to see if they get a better offer instead of just accepting or countering ours now. It's not like this is the first time they've seen our offer!

katespade When we bought out house our seller always took so much time to respond on anything, it was annoying Hang in there, hope you hear something soon!
bk1 love the quilt! Glad they're optimistic about your cousin. 33 weeks is early, but if they have a good nicu available it's amazing how fast those babies get strong.
It's not as bad as I originally thought. Plus I'm getting new carpet out of the deal But seriously, the things you never think of when you own a home. Maintaining a drain pipe.

HoneySpider - Yeah, their realtor just pretty much confirmed that they're waiting to make sure they don't get any better offers before they respond to ours by letting us know that they have a second offer to consider now.

Our CEO came to speak to us today! It was a big deal because it's the first time he's been to our location. It was fun and interesting!
We took a break from moving to do some grocery shopping. We went a little off track because I didn't have a plan. Oops. Oh well, it wasn't too bad though. I did force myself to say no to a few unnecessary things!
bk1 Hoping for a safe delivery for your cousin! Also, that quilt is amazing!
katespade The sellers of my house were the same and waited until the last minute. They also had a few offers come in along with ours and let everyone know so that they could revise their offer to be more "competitive". They tried their best to make as much as possible.

Grr. We were supposed to have internet today. Apparently we don't have phone lines? But somehow they fully installed everything? Um.. ok then. So now they are coming on Thu to check the lines. Why didn't they do that in the first place? I'm sick of everything being such a pain in the ass. I'll be so happy once we're fully moved, things are set up, and we're mostly unpacked. Then maybe I can relax for once!
