Why is my toddler crying? Why is yours?

Because I don't know. I changed him, gave him some milk, gave him some Gas-X, gave him cough meds, took off his sleep sack because maybe he's hot, lied down with him (he slept then) rocked him (he slept then too), put him in his crib, cry all over again.

I turned the tv off.

I wouldn't let him share his trucks with his brother (share = dump them in the RNP on top ofnhim)

The babysitter left.

D woke up refreshed, and even wanted to brush his own teeth. Me, on the other hand, looks like I've been run over by a mac truck.

Because he wanted "Daddy more minutes." Meaning, screw you Mom, Dad is more fun!

Because we didn't let him pour his own cereal into the bowl. Because we helped him pour milk into the bowl.

This morning, it was because I wouldn't let him go barreling into DD's room to wake her up when she doesn't have school today. I AM SO MEAN!

Because I took his socks off after he stepped in water on the kitchen floor

DD is 4, but last week she cried and yelled because I bought her a pair of sneakers IN ADDITION TO the paw patrol light up shoes (that are eventually going to cause a seizure in someone). "But I wanted the paw patrol shoes. I didn't want those." Who cries over getting a bonus pair of shoes?

My baby is 4 but I can add reasons why she's throwing a screaming fit.

Because
she can't play on the ipad
everyone else went to school
it's not lunch time (not because I won't feed her, but because it's not actually lunch time)
her sock is weird
she can't get her soccer shin guards on and doesn't want me to help (she does NOT have soccer today or any day)
her sister's wearing the shirt she wants to wear
I made her brush her hair and teeth today
the dog is too close to her

I could go on. I'm counting the minutes until I take her to preschool (where she will be a happy, content child until I pick her up).

Last night b/c it was time to go inside to get dinner ready.

Because her younger sister didn't do EXACTLY what she was telling(demanding) her to do.

This morning, b/c she missed daddy(mommy is chopped liver in our house). Clarification - he isn't gone somewhere, just left for work.

I took their brother to preschool and not them

When I returned home from dropping him off he was not with me

I attempted to put K's shoes on when she came to me and said "shoe on"

I gave E a kiss when she only said "mama hug" and not kiss too.

Oh thank God. I thought my kid was just really dramatic.

I was only with him a few minutes this morning but he threw himself on the floor sobbing over his dirty pajamas that he wanted to put back on.

He wanted me to change his diaper on the floor not the changing table.

He didn't want me to leave.

I only let her watch one episode of my little ponies.

We ran out of pancakes.


The Kindle battery died and she couldn't play Daniel Tiger.

I have a lunch meeting and she couldn't come. Poor DH is still dealing with that one.

Shes an asshole.

She flipped out on DH the other day driving home because the sun was in her eyes. It took me 20 minutes to calm her from the meltdown. The sun. Then the next day I made it a game and she laughed hysterically over the sun being in her eyes.

Well we took away his pacifier cold turkey last week, so . . . That.

Because the doctor did not get flu shots yet so he couldn't get a shot today...apparently he really wanted a shot. Or the lollipop after
