1. When did you start having your baby wear shoes regularly? 2. My 10.5 month old is starting to refuse some bottles. He rejects his morning one all together, eats half of the next, and then usually drains the last two of the day. Should I be worried about him not getting enough nutrients? He typically still eats three purees a day + table food. 3. Also along with that, what about fluid intake? He isn't great about drinking water out of the sippy cup yet. 4. When did you stop giving purees and do table food only?

1. At around one year. He wasn't walking yet (still isn't walking) but his daycare requires shoes. Also, when we're out, he likes to stand against things and cruise against things, and I don't want to put his bare feet on the floor (of like a store or restaurant or whatever). His shoes come off as soon as we get home.
2/3. Have you tried putting formula or breastmilk in a sippy cup instead of a bottle? Or a straw cup?
4. C still eats some stage 3 purees. He doesn't have a lot of teeth still, so some table food (like meat or crunchy veggies) is hard for him, especially when he's teething.

1. Not until she was walking on her own, so when she was almost 14 months. 2. Since you said he's eating 3 purees plus table food every day, I wouldn't worry. 3. Have you tried giving water in a straw cup? DD had a much easier time with straw cups than she did with sippy cups. Also, the purees are also contributing a bit to fluid intake, as would fruit. 4. My memory is a little foggy on this, but I want to say around 11 months to a year? (She had about 8 teeth by the time she was 1, so I felt comfortable with her ability to chew things, though I know babies are supposed to be able to gum food pretty well too.)
VillainV and mellimel19 - he doesn't have great success with the sippy cup and none at all with the straw, unfortunately. I think our straw cup sucks though, because I had a hard time getting stuff out of it, so maybe I will try again with a different one.

At first we had to hold the sippy cup for him. You could try taking the valve out, but the flow can be pretty fast. There is also a brand that has some adjustable valves so you can adjust the flow rate, but I'm blanking on the brand right now.
C still doesn't like the spill proof kiddy straw cups, but he will drink out of a regular cup with a straw, I think because you don't have to suck as hard. I think the take-n-toss straw cups are similar?

1. Daycare requested she start wearing shoes when she started cruising at 8 months. I started putting them on her to go other places a couple weeks ago when she was walking confidently enough that I let her walk outside or in stores sometimes.
4. We stopped jarred foods at 10 months because she kept pulling the spoon out of my hand and throwing it and I was tired of it. Plus she was doing well with table foods. She still eats pouches.

1. 14 months, so a few weeks ago when she started regularly walking. 2.This wouldn't worry me because DD is always less hungry earlier in the day. He may just be getting enough from the food. I like DD to drink a lot of water because she swears so much, but as long as her poop isn't hard I figure she is hydrated enough. 4. We were done with purees around 10-11 months. DD had 8 teeth then though, and didn't really want us to feed her anymore.
