“If I resign I lose my voice”: Kim Davis explains to Megyn Kelly why she won’t quit the job she won’t do
Rowan County, Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis appeared on “The Kelly File” to defend her decision to remain in office, saying that she shouldn’t “have to quit a job that I’m good at” before complaining that “they can accommodate for all sorts of other issues,” but “it just doesn’t seem right” that the state won’t accommodate her bigotry.
Host Megyn Kelly asked her whether she is receiving support, to which Davis replied “I guess it just depends what side of the argument you’re on as to whether you treat me good or you treat me bad, or if you think I’m a villain or if you think I’m just someone that God is using.”
Davis later insisted that “it’s never been a gay or lesbian issue for me” — even though gays and lesbians were the only ones she was actively discriminating against — “it has been about upholding the word of God and how God defined marriage from the very beginning of time.”
She didn’t specify when, exactly, “the beginning of time” was, but she was adamant that she was acting in accordance with the Lord’s will and being punished for it. Kelly asked her why, “when the legal challenges ended up not going in your favor [you] just [didn’t] resign at that point?”
“If I resign I lose my voice,” Davis replied. “Why should I have to quit a job that I love and that I’m good at? I’ve been a county employee and served the public well for over 26 years before I got elected. It comes back to, they can accommodate for all sorts of issues, and we ask for one simple accommodation and we cannot receive it.”

What?!?! What the fuck "simple accommodation" does she claim to be asking for?!! Overturning a Supreme Court ruling and discriminating against a segment of society she doesn't like!?!? Oh my god, this woman fills me with so much rage!
That accommodation is not a simple one, you simple dumbass. It's accommodating your *special* brand of Christianity in continuing a bigoted practice against a group of people that are just as entitled to a happily-ever-after as your thrice-divorced ass.

Is there anyone in the world who doesn't understand what this woman is saying- "God says Homosexuality is a sin in the bible and we should hate the sin and love the sinner and not help them commit this sin". I am getting really tired of every Tom, Dick and Jane thinking they have the way to say this so that people will agree with them.
If you are quoting the bible and people don't agree with you, then you need to realize your voice isn't the key here. You don't need to say it with pictures or cakes marriage licenses. People just do not agree. Period.

Listen people, it's her JOB to determine who should and should not be given a U.S. government license to marry, according to her interpretation of G*d's law ... oh wait ... um, no .., g*d ... I mean, her job .... STOP PERSECUTING BIGOTS!!
Rowan County, Kentucky clerk Kim Davis said she and her family have left the Democratic Party because "the Democratic Party left us a long time ago," according to a Friday report from Reuters.
"My husband and I had talked about it for quite a while and we came to the conclusion that the Democratic Party left us a long time ago, so why were we hanging on?" Davis told Reuters while she was in Washington, D.C. to speak at the Values Voter Summit.
Davis was jailed for five days when she refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples in her county and didn't comply with a federal judge's order to do so.
Evangelical and hardline Republican presidential candidates Sen. Ted Cruz (TX) and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee rallied around Davis.
In her latest filing, Davis and her legal team blamed Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear, a Democrat, when he sent a letter to all Kentucky clerks instructing them to issue marriage licenses regardless of gender after the Supreme Court effectively legalized gay marriage.

I spoke to a Kim Davis on the phone a couple days ago who hesitated ever so slightly before giving her last name. Poor thing is probably cursing this Kim's name. Lol
