So there is one going around and there Are 10posts a person could post. If you like their status, you have to choose another one of the 10. It's so dumb. But of course breast cancer awareness. Do I skip it and be a spoiled sport.? The only post I didn't mind was. 'I think I might be in love?' (Yes the question mark is part of the post) I don't want to make another 10 people make silly posts.
I really don't like this because there are like 10options. It's so silly.

Absolutely ignore it. Speaking as a cancer survivor with far too many survivor friends, I don't know a single cancer patient/survivor who is actually in support of those posts.

I hate those with a passion. The world is pretty much aware of breast cancer. What's needed is monetary donations to research better treatments and/or a cure, and those statuses do nothing to help with that.
I hate those so much. A few years ago the one going around was to make up some crap about a fake pregnancy. So stupid, and potentially hurtful to so many. Anyway, SIL was newly pregnant (hadn't announced yet) and did the fake pregnancy status. people who knew IRL and didn't know about the fake statuses totally outed her lol. She was so upset bc she missed her chance to "announce". DH and I laughed. My status that year was "I'm aware of breast cancer without having to fake a pregnancy!" I got way more likes than any of those stupid statuses did.
I hate those things. Or when there are the ones that say 'change your picture to a cartoon character in honor of child abuse awareness '. Pretty sure people are aware it exists, why don't you actually do something instead of just changing your profile picture.
September is Childhood Cancer awareness month, but that cause is sadly unable to get much traction.
It's also Lymphoma, Leukemia, Thyroid, and Gynecological Cancer month. Not going to lie, as a survivor of one of those categories, the breast cancer "awareness" crap creeping into September really bugs me. There are far more cancer types out there that genuinely could benefit from greater awareness than breast cancer.
