Can you help with furniture placement/room design?

This is L's room. We just moved 2 weeks ago and were in a rush to make it functional but I don't love the way we have it set up currently. I'm hoping to set up a little library area with IKEA picture ledge book shelves and a Poang chair. I think I'd like a child sized one for him and an adult sized one too. 

I'm having trouble figuring out where to put stuff. Here are some pics. WDYT?

I thought about that but unfortunately it's taller than the windows.

@246baje, here's one more pic. The door on the left is the closet. The wall with the windows is adjacent to it.
