s/o contigo - good for kids who throw their cups?

DS loves having his straw cups with him around the house, especially in the morning with milk, but even the good ones now leak because he throws them on the floor when he becomes interested in something other than drinking (which happens all the time). Would getting him a contigo help with this or is it just a waste of more money because after a few drops on the floor it will leak? One of my dogs now follows DS around the house waiting for liquid to slurp up.

We love our contigos. Dd is a thrower as well and we haven't had any trouble with leaks at all so far.
