P was up at midnight, 3, 4, and 6 am. I let her fuss/whine herself back to sleep at midnight and 6am. At 3 I got up and fed her, but she was up again shortly after and I figured she was probably in teething pain. The tylenol seemed to help, maybe, but I don't see a tooth coming through but could feel a 'bulge' on one side of the top gums so maybe. Poor thing. Poor mom.
They must be conspiring long distance. P was up from 11:30-1 and then 3:15-4:30 last night.
He definitely has his top four teeth cutting though, but still. Dude.
My mom got DS 6 new vtech animals & cars that talk (they're like the size of your fist) and he LOVES them. Super annoying but they've kept him occupied for 40minutes.
Good luck!
DS LOVES those VTech Go-Go smart cars. I think we have an entire city's worth of tracks, between his birthday and Christmas. But it keeps him busy, so it's worth it.

They have FINALLY started working on our house. We got the bid in June, and have been waiting ever since. Of course, now it's going to rain during the week, so hopefully, they can get through most of the projects before then. I have never been so glad to be back at work, though my husband may lose his mind.

Note to self: buy more before the baby shows up.
We have the barn and tracks that came with that but he just pulls them apart so I put them away.
Toy rotation has worked well in encouraging his independent play so I think I might separate the animals from the cars and only have 1 set out a day.
Oh, and I *should* hear about my potential new job today. If you have any good job vibes, please, please send them my way. I'm so tired and stress of my life being so up in the air.
Lower back, upper thighs and general pelvis region. It feels like I ran a marathon... or what I imagine that might feel like... because I don't know from personal experience. I can't tell if it's because: -I was more active this weekend (a bit, but nothing major) -At my highest adult weight ever (:::sob: -Baby settled into an odd position (I never felt like this with DS, but he never was head down for more than a few days at a time)
4 year old for SALE!!!!! Currently going for 50% off!
Seriously, I feel like this weekend was all timeout, all the time. Holy shit, she just couldn't get it right. Her impulsivity and bad behavior was sort of through the roof.
She is having a hard time keeping her hands off her 18 month old sister. Pushing her, laying on her, etc. And then when the 18 month old screams, she sticks her hands in her ears and looks around horrified because she knows that I'm about to fuck shit up.
Normal? Psychopath? You choose, and help me parent accordingly.
Exact same in our house. This weekend was awful which makes me so sad because I look forward to weekends so much. DS1 (also 4) also deliberately woke up his 18 month old brother at one point which ruined DS2's nap and then his day. UGH. It is SO frustrating. We put them both to bed early on Saturday night. Like an hour and a half early, oops.
Oh, and we like to ask DS if he thinks he's getting a baby Brother or Sister. I think he has no idea what we're talking about still. Or sometimes we ask, Boy or Girl? Benjamin or Tessa?
I have a new camera strap and a new desk coming today. I just want to go home and play with all my new stuff. DH is home sick today. I may ask him to put together my desk.
I think P's clogged eye duct has finally cleared out. She's had no abnormal eye-boogers nor has her eye been stuck shut for a few weeks. Hooray avoiding surgery!

I started drinking Apple Cider Vinegar in hopes to jump start my first plateau I am hitting on weight loss. I think if this doesn't work I am going to try WW for a little while. I have been doing low carb and my weight loss for three weeks has been 0 and I have worked out a ton. I fitting clothes better but I can't seem to lose anything.

I am up; no one else is. I cooked breakfast for all of us, packed DD's lunch for after class, and am about to jump in the shower before DH hogs it. My house is silent.

It looks like DD is getting her canines in. She's not even 13 months, is this even possible? Yesterday she was yawning and there was some white poking through on the bottom and she's had her fingers in her mouth a lot lately.. This may help to explain her biting someone at daycare Friday though.

Do you just drink it straight? I can't imagine that- I've had 2 really close friends do WW, and they both lost so much weight, now it is all they talk about, and recommend it to everyone.
I still have like 10 pounds to lost from DD (she's 1 now) but my old clothes fit fine (well, maybe a tiny bit tighter, but they look fine) so I tried to focus less on the number on the scale, and more on how my clothes were fitting.
I tried it with 2 tablespoons in luke warm water (8 ounces or so). It wasn't gag worthy but wasn't pleasant either. I am going to try adding it to colder water.
I did ww after having DD#1 and lost like 40 pounds but then I hit a plateau. Then I did low carb and lost another 30 pounds and got very near my goal. So that is why I was doing low carb first. So far I am stuck at 22 pounds lost over 12 weeks.
Hanging out here gives me a false sense of breeziness. Then yesterday I spent several hours with truly breezy moms, who kept looking at me like the crazy uptight helicopter tiger mom, and I was reminded how this board is not a normal benchmark, lol
This is making me laugh. Can you provide specific examples?
The carpet cleaner guy came at 830 so I took AJ to the sitters around 8. Carpet guy was done at 11, so I could totally go pick AJ up...or I could pick him up at the usual time (6pm). I'll let you guys guess which option I chose.
DH had meetings downtown today so it's my first day on my own. I got DD to go down in the bassinet long enough to shower and dry my hair. When she woke up I got her in the wrap long enough to eat breakfast and feed the dog. Now we are on the couch and I think I might watch some OITNB.
My new iPhone should arrive today and I would like to go out to paper source and buy a cover for it this afternoon but TBD if that happens!

The examples are not as funny as the overall effect . But
1) For background, M is almost 8 months and very much in a separation anxiety phase He's never met these people. SO I'm holding the baby and trying to get a sandwich, and failing, because I don't have enough hands. One of the women asks if she can help, so I pass him over for literally 3 seconds so I can get a plate and put a sandwich on it. As soon as she gets him she starts walking away and is like "I'm just going to take him over this giant hill to playground you cannot see (paraphrased) to check on my kids." I basically said no (I knew he would freak out) and snatched him back, and she gave me a look and was like "ooookkkkk..."
2) They wanted to get a group picture of the kids. The oldest kid is 9 and tiny. M is 20 lbs and super squirmy. So I told DH to go hold him off to the side in the picture. They were like "Can't just one of the older kids hold him?" a) he will scream, because separation anxiety, and b) I don't trust the kids to hold the baby.
3) THEN it was time for the adults-only picture. (These are DH's college friends, ftr). Again, they were like, "Can't you just leave him off the side?" a) He will scream. b) He will have about 15 mouthfuls of grass and dirt by the time this picture is over. The older kids were so into taking the pictures, I don't think they would have an eye on him.
These are really nice women, and I do like them, but they are just cut from a different parenting cloth than I am. Last year we went somewhere where there was a boating activity. I brought L a lifejacket because she was 27 pounds, and the life jackets provided started at 30. And they were like "Well, I just don't worry about that stuff." And they don't. But I'm pretty sure they think I'm nuts. Perhaps I am

22 pounds is great! It sucks when you get stuck though. Also if you are working out a lot, you could get gaining muscle, which weights more too
I am.
My Trainer and my Boot Camp Trainer seems to have different opinions on low carb. I do feel like I am gaining muscle and this is why I am not steadily losing. My Boot Camp Trainer does not get at all get the low carb thing. He is like you need oatmeal and a banana before you come to boot camp. This meal is not a option for me.
I am going to stick it out .. trying cutting down with diary and drink more water. I think I could also be bloated.
I just cried reading about a mom in the Netherlands who heard about the refugee crisis and flew to Greece with 1,000 baby carriers to hand out to parents who were fleeing. She owns a baby carrier shop and wanted to help out. I cannot even imagine how these parents must feel, fleeing with their children. The photos horrify me. It is nice to hear about regular people doing kind things to try and help. She gave a family with triplets three baby carriers for their trip.

I went to Costco to buy DD's Halloween costume. She wants to be Cinderella. I realized the smallest they have will be HUGE on her. I popped into h&m after to browse and they had a cute one that felt much better than the Costco or the target ones. Yay!
DD had a ridiculous epic meltdown this morning that was started when she asked for a graham cracker and I gave it to her. Then she scratched and kicked me while I carried her upstairs to get dressed. I tried to leave her alone to unwind on her own and hold her and se if that made her feel better but nothing worked. She finally settled down and DH swooped in and gave her hugs and she didn't want to have anything to do with me. I know he didn't mean it but man that sucked and made me feel like the bad guy so I was crying thinking my toddler hates me. Yay Monday!
